OMG WHAT A MONSTER !!!This is a VERY heavy lock, with a GOLD Sold Secure rating.This is bound to have even the most determined bike thief think again and go for something easier to chew on :)It comes with a very sturdy frame mount should you want to mount this to the frame of your bike, but in reality the lock will probably go in the backpack, or stay locked at the gym or workplace, as who on earth would want to carry around the weight of a baby elephant with them on their commute :)The lock is fully coated so it wont scratch your paintwork, and it comes with plenty of spare keys, and a LED master key and a keycode tab.Note to self, DO NOT lose the keycode tab.....Overall this is a awesome beast of a D Lock perfect for Londoners like myself or anyone else who has to leave their bike locked up regularly.The GOLD Sold Secure rating is perfect for Bicycle insurance which is the main reason why I chose this lock over all others.

You can't go wrong with this lock at such a good price. It's Gold Sold Secure standard, comes with 5 laser cut keys, and is coated so does not scratch your bike. There's a cable to wrap around your accessories and wheels (obviously that's not Sold Secure compliant). It's a well made lock, heavy and robust, and liked by my insurance company. Brilliant. EDIT - Three years in and the lock is still working well - despite being outside in the wind and rain a lot, the lock mechanism still works perfectly (we take it camping with us). I've not used the bike carrier attachment as my frame is the wrong shape. I see the price has pretty much doubled since I bought it for £24.99 back in 2017, but I would still consider it at the higher price.

Good looking lock that has a high security gold rating, it is a very heavy item to carry but very easy to fit onto the bike with the supplied frame mount, which was an absolute necessity after previously riding 40k with it on my back in a rucksack. The supplied spare keys are a useful addition as I can leave a spare at work and at home, although I can’t imagine needing 5 but did like the push button LED one for lighting up the keyhole in the dark. The cable is of good quality although I wouldn’t rely on it as a standalone deterrent but useful for adding extra security to the wheels. So far so good.Bought on the recommendation of a friend but am a bit concerned when after I had purchased this lock I read the seized locking mechanism reviews by Pinball Traveller & Others, and the review by Duarte Mendes showing a picture of the lock completely compromised by what looks like a simple hacksaw cut. I guess with these reviews in mind I'm going have to place some faith in keeping the lock mechanism oiled and hope that the U-lock shaft is hard enough to make the time taken to cut through it a worthwhile deterrent or that my bike being less valuable than other bikes out there might not be worth the effort to steal. Think I would pay more if my bike was worth a lot of money and definitely won’t skip reading reviews before my next purchase. Great price but possible issues

Bought to lock up my bike at the train station. It’s not an expensive bike by any means but was happy to invest £20 odd to prevent the inconvenience of it being stolen. This lock is substantial. It wouldn’t fit anywhere else than behind the saddle as pictured, something to consider if you have a small frame. It is heavy and the build quality is of a high standard. Mechanism is smooth and locks nicely.Saw some negative reviews on here whereby the user has connected the bike to a rack via the cable and their bike has been pinched. Not how it’s designed at all. The cable is purely ancillary and shouldn’t be used in that way, it’s solely for wheels and accessories. I’ve you U-lock your bike to a rack it would take a (powerful) angle grinder to get it off.Only slight criticism would be size and weight but this is clearly advertised. (They do a smaller one for a bit more and in hindsight I’d have bought that one).This lock will make stealing my very average bike simply not worth the effort.

I spent quite some time reading into bike locks, this one is ranked very highly, especially for the price.Reviews of the Kryptonite locks are very mixed which encouraged me to look for something a little more robust. This lock is cheaper (I paid £24.99) and in my opinion very well made. The lock feels very sturdy indeed. Some have mentioned the weight of this lock, it is indeed weighty, but not heavy.The cable that it comes also oozes quality.No bike lock is unbreakable, an 18v angle grinder is going to cut through anything, but this will keep your bike safe under normal situations.

This is a great lock, well built and the addition of the cable make it a great buy. The only downside is the weight but your can't expect to get good security from a lightweight lock. I generally only carry this if I expect to leave my bike for any long period of time as it is heavy to carry. Came with 5 keys, one of them has a LED light built in for use in the dark, very handy. Gold standard sold secure if you need it for insurance purposes.
