Clear Drive works and in the right conditions you will be able to laugh at your hard working neighbors. I have experience as a municipal employee in charge of removing snow from the roads. A big part of clearing snow is first treating roads with salt, brine or calcium chloride substance to lower the freezing point of water and prevent excessive build up of snow. However, these substances have limitations that must be considered for proper usage and expectations. First of all, the freezing point is lowered to mid to low 20s but its not removed. If you are in the teens then this stuff does nothing. Second of all, rain will wash it away. This is frustrating when treating roads as its not uncommon for a rain to prelude an ice storm.

Used this product for the first time earlier this month before the first snow fall. My driveway was clear as can be and my neighbors had 4 inches of snow piled on. One neighbor came over to inquire what my secret was. The trick with this stuff is to put it down with a sprayer before the snow and ice comes and put it down thick. If you do that you will be thanking yourself once the snow falls.

This product is supposed to treat up to 6000 sq feet per gallon, but failed to noticeably provide any benefit when applying one gallon to @1000 sq feet of concrete.Temperatures never dropped below 30 degrees and there was almost no difference between treated and untreated concrete.Save your money. The product is not of adequate strength to provide any benefit.I did not test the specific gravity of the Clear Drive Liquid Calcium Chloride Professional Ice Melter which I received , but can safely say (due to the product being shipped without a material handling sheet and the results following application) that this product is complete worthless.

Maybe I applied it wrong, because I am looking out the window as I type this and my driveway is just as covered with snow as everyone else's. I applied exactly how instructions stated, but maybe I didn't do it thick enough. We'll see how shoveling goes...

You need to use a lot. It can't rain before the snow either. To many variables to get this to work perfectly. It does work very well. But there is no substitute for a snow blower. This will not remove snow on its own.Bought this for the first snow. Pics looked too good to be true so i tired it. Did make shoveling easier but hardly. I won't buy again.

Works great!! Our driveway is on the north side of our house and doesn't get a lot of sun so it takes a long time to melt after snow or ice. This product made a big difference in melting whatever comes down much quicker than without it. Very satisfied.

Used on wooden steps, did not melt snow or ice. What it did do was create a very slippery surface under the snow and ice. I found this to be more dangerous than the actual snow and ice.

I like the product. It worked great for me last year. I usually do not have a problem with deliveries.. BUTI ordered 2 bottles in the am that said same day except it's been 3 days now.Hopefully I'll have it before the next snow fall!
