Revo Supersystem Music Player with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and OLED Display - White/Silver

I've had my SuperSystem for about 9 months, so have tried all its features many times. The top line here is that its a cracking system. We use it mostly for radio in the mornings then hooking up to Spotify throughout the day. Packaging has a premium feel and set up was a breeze - plug in, turn on, connect to wifi and you are pretty much done (setting up Spotify and radio presets is also easy). Sound is better than the Rauk Audio unit it replaced and it looks the business; at least to my eye. In 9 months its not missed a beat. Until today.I came downstairs to sort the kids breakfast. Usually there is a blue/green glow from the OLED screen. Today, nothing. I figured its a fuse or power tripped. Not so. I called up Revo and spoke to a chap who asked if there was an LED lit on the external power supply. Nope. So he checked my address (I bought the SuperSystem from Amazon but the smaller Revo SuperSignal direct from them), told me a new one would be with me in a day or two. I asked if it was a common issue. He said not but the PSU is a stressed part of the system as it takes 240volts and drops it to 18volts for the unit. And that's why manufacturers make their systems with an external PSU so it lessens the support required should one need changing.Excellent support for an excellent product.

Sadly, this was in my opinion, not an 'Award Winner'. Revo were brilliant and took it back, but the 'phut, phut, phut, from the bass driver was far too artificial to be compared anywhere close to the Ruark R4 Mk3 which I also have. I asked for feedback from Revo to see if I was unlucky buying a refurb, but sadly they have not been in contact since I returned. Bitterly disappointed as the the sound was also artificially bright. not for me, but others might like the sound? For a more 'audiophile' sound, the Ruark wins at a canter.

This system is superb,hooked up to my Brennan b2 vior optical cable the sound of my ripped cds are fantastic. Expensive but I feel worth the price for all its features. bought from amazon U.K.
