Solid, robust, extremely easier to use; ticks all the right boxes - and not just for short trips!
I purchased this to help my elderly Mother still get out and about and enjoy herself, as she is finding it harder and harder to walk more than a short distance now without severe pain/discomfit. I wanted something that was light, "portable" (as much as a wheelchair can be!) and yet still strong and robust. This was because it was not really just to be used as a "get you from the car to the hospital type wheelchair"; I really wanted a wheelchair that could be used for days out, and yet could be stored easily in the car. Well, I have to say that this wheelchair ticks all those boxes with aplomb! This simply could not be easier to use. The two sides push together to become much flatter for storage in the car (on the in the house) and has two sturdy fabric hand pulls on the seat which you use to pull it back out to full width when you need to use it. This does not take a lot of strength to do as everything moves quite easily.. The footrests (with their metal bar that you can see going up almost to the seat in the picture) simply slot over small bars (literally line up and then drop into place) and then swing over into place (clicking securely into place with a simple "finger release" bar to get them undone again). No nuts, bolts etc. All done in seconds. The black sturdy plastic footrest part itself can flip up (vertically) so you can easily get in and raise one foot into place at a time. They have sturdy fabric "ribbons" which the the user can place their feet into to feel more secure (but can easily get out of themselves if need be; there is no fastener/lock; it just makes you feel more secure and that your feet won't slip etcetera). To get the entire footrest bar off (for the car/storage) again you simply press the metal release bar with your thumb/fingers and you can then swing to the side and lift off the bars; fold the black plastic footrests up verticalls and you now have a vertical "flat packed" footrest for easy storage in the car etcetera. So, put simply: you can push and pull the main width of the chair by hand; the footrests simply pop on and off by hand, swing over and click into place and you're ready to go! The brakes have a "car hand brake" functionality (simply pull/push down on the entire brakes and they click reassuringly into place); I have to say I was surprised how well these seem to work. Even on a slope the wheelchair was going nowhere once the brakes were engaged. If you're moving the person on a hill, for example, you also have the brakes there that work like "bike brakes". All in all, I really don't think I could have hoped for an easier to use model and design. Just what you need for getting in and out of the car in a jiffy. Also, as I said earlier, I did not just want a "short trip" solution; I wanted a wheelchair that could be packed away easily in the car but also be up to the job of transporting my Mum around all day on days out. Thus far I have had no problems doing just that with this chair. It's actually even quite comfortable without an additional cushion. However, if you were doing longer journeys in one (like we do) I would still recommend one. Build quality seems fantastic and, for this price, unbelievable to be honest. I would not be disappointed with the build quality if it cost 3 times as much quite frankly. My Mother is a slim build and pushing this wheelchair (on a straight path anyway!) with her is barely any harder than walking by myself. Seriously. Fenetic Wellbeing themselves were fantastic. Turned up uber-quick and well packaged. Highly recommended!

Good value, suitable quality - but no seatbelt
Wanted a good value but reasonably robust wheelchair to take my 87 year old mother to medical appointments, shopping, or around the village; and this seemed to fill the bill. Ordered it on Friday morning and it was delivered (for free) on Monday lunchtime! Wow! Disappointments: Slightly dificult to open out the first time as it had got squashed together in transit, but really easy to fold and unfold now. One of the front tyres arrived slightly damaged, but hope it will be OK and not tear away ... will have to keep an eye on it. The biggest "fault" with the chair is that there is no seat belt - surprising in this health-and-safety conscious day and age. I recently took a 90 year old neighbour to hospital in her own wheelchair, and we struck an inch high kerb across the wheelchair route (!!!) - whereupon the wheelchair stopped abruptly but the occupant didn't. Oops! So we have bought a separate seatbelt for my mother's chair, which gives us both more confidence. The footrests seemed very unbalanced, but improved when my mother repositioned herself, as the wheelchair frame isn't rigid. (They are still slightly different heights, but she says no longer enough to bother her.) My mother was reluctant to get a wheelchair, but after being lent one for a recent hospital visit, decided one would be useful. We made our maiden voyage to meet friends at the local pub a day after the chair was delivered, and my mother found it comfortable enough even without additional cushion. Good points: not too heavy for lifting into the car; footrests are quick and easy to slot on / lift off; back folds in half so that the handles fold down and do not protrude too much and thus it is easy to fit into a car when folded. As I have a slight walking problem myself, I find foot brakes difficult to use, so particularly like the hand operated parking brakes on the wheelchair handles. It remains to be seen how well the chair will last, but for now it seems robust enough for our purposes. Great on flat hospital floors; adequate on a slightly uneven pavements - but I wouldn't want to use it on cobbled streets or country walks! I would have given four and a half stars if I could: four seemed mean in view of the chair's many good points, but five feels over-generous in view of the (mostly minor) shortcomings. Most serious gripe is the lack of a seatbelt.

Quality Without Compromise
I purchased this wheelchair for my Mum who has Osteoporosis and is unable to walk more than a few metres. As I have arthritis myself, I was looking for a chair that was lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and fold up to lift into the car boot. Having looked at many others I settled on this one because it looked uncomplicated and good quality as well as being very reasonably priced. Most of all it is from a small UK retailer which is important to me rather than all the cheap and tacky imports currently flooding the market. Unusual these days but it exceeded my expectations, I was absolutely thrilled with it and my Mum (who usually finds fault with everything ;-) ) even commented how comfortable it was, didn't even need any cushions. This, along with the excellent communications and speedy delivery in less than a day, means that I cannot recommend this wheelchair or the company it came from highly enough.

Good value
Very comfortable I've not been out in it yet . It's a decent size but will navigate reasonably small areas lifts corridors ect. I'm average size and suits me perfectly The tyres are solid so I'm expecting it to be a bit of a bumpy ride on gravel ect . But it's perfect for hospital appointments and shopping trips . I have a gel cushion I will put in it. Has a good breaking system I'm really pleased with it . Visually looks smart I like the fact it's mine and no one else has been sitting in it.

Great product
Got this for my 93 year old mother. Absolutely brilliant. Light weight, folds easily to keep in the car, but also sturdy for shopping trips.

La silla esta muy bien. Ligera y manejable.

This is the fourth wheelchair I've ordered on Amazon. The first lasted 2 years and lost one of the front wheels while I was out with my mom. Thankfully, there were kind friends and family that helped us out of the situation. Because of that experience, I was looking for a chair with more reliable wheels for outdoor use that could stand extended use around town. I did a lot of research and tried finding one that would be on the lighter side, but still sturdy. I tried out a few but one was too low to the ground and the other did not offer enough support for my mom to hold onto while trying to get into the chair. I ended up returning them. I was losing hope of finding a good chair so I waited a while on the next one and prayed on it. Thankfully, the Lord heard my prayers. My mom loved the vibrant blue of this chair and I love the sturdy wheels, the handbreaks, and how it isn't any heavier than the cheaper transport chair she was using before. It really is a good-looking chair and I am really happy with it. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a chair for their loved one. 100% love it.
