Good value
I saw the clever cutter advertised on TV, but found this one on Amazon for half the price. It was delivered quickly, and the cutter is handy to have in the kitchen. It works on most things, except for ripe tomatoes, which tend to burst open when the pressure of the blade is applied.

Not good for vegetables
Not very strong can’t cut vegetables with as the blade is quite weak! Alright for anything soft but certainly not as good as a normal knife

This looked a very good and handy product to have in the kitchen and reading the reviews I purchased one. The cutter has been very disappointing. Yes it does cut carrots and stick shaped vegetables well but it struggled with an onion. It was quicker to get your chopping knife out. On the third use the item fell apart and the spring type hinge popped out. I cannot fix it so it's in the draw broken. I feel the item is of poor quality and I would advise you not to purchase it. It's not fit for purpose and it's limited to what you can chop.

perfect for salad and vegetables
Simple to use and clean, perfect for salad and vegetables. Works best with cooked meats but great for raw or cooked fish and seafoods. Particularly handy for fine chopping of herbs and fiddly small items. All in all a good and for once useful kitchen tool that will not end up at the back of the drawer.

I do love these cutters
The spring broke on my first pair and igadget sent me one out free of charge and it is apparently rare that this happens. I do love these cutters, makes light work of carrots, onions etc. The only thing I found (perhaps Im doing it at the wrong angle) is that sometimes bits of carrot etc can go flying when you cut rather neatly in the bowl as shown in videos.

and when the metal spring type thing starts to stretch out it gets a bit useless..
When it works it works well. Slight risk of cutting yourself, and when the metal spring type thing starts to stretch out it gets a bit useless... this happened to ours and it has now snapped off and won't work anymore... chopping board is probably easier

It's good for cutting small veggies like carrots/courgettes/cucumbers etc but not so good for slicing potatoes or onion. It does slice them but only small ones and it is difficult to keep them in position. I tried it on a swede and it wasn't very good at all until I cut thick slices with a knife and then it would cut the slices, which rather negated the reason I wanted it, i.e I have arthritis and find it difficult to put sufficient pressure on a knife.
