It's been nearly 2 months since getting these and switching mainly to them over my previous pair, some Philips Fidelio X2HR. Those are a fantastic bargain for what you get, and these Z12 IEMs are even better. The most significant difference between them is the crystal clear clarity and separation of individual tracks. It feels pretty great listening to complex songs such as Kepler22b by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard with these, despite so much going on I focus and concentrate on whatever part of the melody I want. Or perhaps any of Dance Gavin Dance's harmonized guitars, or complex 1 rhythm + 2 lead guitar melodies.Another strong suit of these is the punchy bass, and very *present* sub-bass which rumbles your ears. Neither of these qualities muds into the mids/highs, preserving the clarity throughout the frequency range. Finally, all of this is brought together at an amazing price. Any dollar spent above the asking price for these on any other headphones is probably diminishing returns, even for the vast majority of the audiophile community. I don't consider myself that, I enjoy the practicality and quality of life headphones such as my AirPods pro and sony wh1000xm4 have brought into my life while delivering pretty good sound, but using these while stationary working at my desk is something I look forward to.And all I'm using to run them is my desktop motherboard's built-in audio, which according to them is better than average since it's one of those "gaming" motherboards. I am planning on getting a Schiit Stack at some point which will probably make these even better.

IEMs for pleasure
I have a flagship set of Shure IEMS for over a decade, still sold for north of $500 - back then, a planar this small never existed. When they first started hitting the market a few years ago for very high prices, I gave them a spin and felt they needed some time to be retuned/refined. That time is now here.Comes with foam tips that you put in your ear like ear plugs so it forms a solid seal, The sound signature is a little v-shaped with sparkle in the vocals and I straight feel the sub bass in my throat. It's basically my ideal listening experience, for pleasure without needing to EQ the neutral set of IEMs I used to use. Very happy with these, and I feel they're a good value for what they are compared to much more expensive IEMs I've used. If you're a bass-head, the key is getting a good seal in your ear canal. There are 3 different tips (each in 3 different sizes) to choose from. There are also aftermarket tips from a variety of places, I like the memory foam tips personally, and they seal tight for me. Your results may vary, but this is the most important part of getting to the 5-star review status.

Great bass, but some harsh treble. Fantastic cable.
I really love the punchy planar bass on these, the cable is fantastic, and I like the build quality, but the treble is a little bit harsh and fatiguing after about an hour. It's not necessarily a frequency you'll hear at first but it gets more noticeable for my ears as I continue to listen. I really wanted to love these and I do especially love that cable with the swappable plugs, but I ended up selling it after a couple of months. You can EQ that harshness out pretty easily but I don't like to have to do that. I may end up buying the cable separately, though.

Great Sound, but Durability Questions
Somehow the foil covering the opening dented almost immediately, despite always having tips on.The sound is quite immersive - warmer than I expected overall, but still with nice dynamics. Great cable included in packaging. These are really dependent upon ear tips, at least for me. The Dunu SS have been the only tips that really bring out the expected sound.Update 1/2/24: Now the foil on the 2nd iem has also dented. Very suspect build quality here. Lowering score to 3 stars.

Sounds great! Would keep but later found many reviews of it...
The sound is great! It did not have the mechanical sound of other planars. I would've kept but, I found many reviews of it just falling apart, Sadly I did not want to take the chance of it falling apart on me, so I returned it...If you want to take the dice roll of it, go for it. It will not disappoint on the sound end though.

Not for treble sensitive.
These have a lot of good, but to me one really bad that ruins all the good. The treble is...out of control. Sibilants hurt. A lot. Almost instantly returned them.Everything else was on point. Super fun IEM. Great for gaming, music, and media. Everything was there. Build quality was great, cable was nice, finish was great. The treble just takes all of it away.

Excelente Sonido
Un IEM planar con una firma de sonido adecuada para toda mi biblioteca musical, la afinacion realizada por Z Reviews es de primera, los accesorios de un producto de mayor precio. Muy contento con el producto.
