Girly and owly and cute
She hasn’t read this particular book yet, but she loves this series. My daughter is 8 and in second grade. She likes all things girly and soft and purplish and pink with some sparkly glittery fluffy flare. These books must fall into that category somehow because she adores them. An easy and quick read for her but at her appropriate level and not the comic strip style of writing.

Awesome Books for New independent readers
My daughter has fallen in love with the Owl Diaries. The characters are fun, the illustrations are lovely. She really loves the format of the writing. We have purchased all of these in one form or another for her. We were really looking for something to help her fall in love with reading and this seems to be it. She's 9 and had some trouble reading when she first started and I think she felt discouraged. Now that she has found Eva and the Owl Diaries, she reads all the time.

Great series for beginners
My daughter is in 1st grade and love the Eva the owl series. We’ve purchased a few from the book fair but Amazon is by far way cheaper

It makes it easy for me too because I can find the new ...
My 8.5yo daughter adores these books. She discovered the first ones 1-2 years ago at her elementary school and since then she has been intently watching the newer books for the release date of the next ones. It makes it easy for me too because I can find the new releases and *boom* insta-gift! She will read and read the books and never seems to get tired of them. They are well written and wholesome from a mom's perspective as well. I will definitely continue to support this author.

A good elementary book
I believe this series really helped my first and second graders spark a love for reading. They love the main character. She is relatable and sweet

Great books for little girls!
My daughter loves the series! English is a second language for her and these books are great to boost her reading comprehension but not hard so she gets stuck

The Owl Diaries are great beginner chapter books for kids
The Owl Diaries are great beginner chapter books for kids. My daughter read them summer between kindergarten and first grade. She is so excited for #9 to come out soon! :) Graphic novel style, lots of pictures and small word groupings to keep the stamina going.

Good fit
Our children have one other book from this series, when this book came in the mail my child couldn't put it down...for someone that doesn't like to read...they read three chapters right away

Funny and interesting to read.
Bought for 7 year old daughter to encourage reading whole books. Worked really well. She loves the series. It's also encouraged her to write a diary entry every now and again - so writing practice too.

so good I'm sick of them
I read and reread this series over and over to my daughter each night. She loves them but even she hates how the author repeats the same family and school information in every book. If a first grader finds it redundant and boring how can an adult not see that? There is also the lack of parents in most stories which is odd especially as these young owlets bake unsupervised and have huge food fights in their house and the parents don't seem to care. Just little "What?" moments in generally good stories for beginner readers.
