Great quality and works!
After reading other reviews, I have to agree that the quality and functionality is accurate and solid. I think the only difference in ratings may be more on the questionable price or location for the keys to be cut. Many suggested ACE hardware, locksmith, or going to the dealer. First we tried out local ACE Hardware. Nope, they don't cut those keys. Next we went to the dealer. Our Chevy dealer in Shelbyville, TN was happy to cut the keys for free. I had already explained to my husband how other reviewers mentioned the self-programming aspect...and it worked. Programming our 2012 Equinox: Insert old key in the ignition and start the car. Wait about 5 seconds, turn car off, and remove key. Insert "newly cut" key. Start the car, wait 5 seconds, turn off car, and remove key. Repeat for additional keys. By the way, our "self start" on the new fob works perfectly! Simply click "LOCK" twice, then hold down the auto start button. (It's the one under the lock button that looks like a broken circle.") To turn the car off, hold down the broken circle button again. Just as others though, holding down the "open trunk" button does not work for us.

Impressed!
My old key fobs (2015 equinox) were in such bad shape the boards were exposed and started causing issues with my battery and the alarm would randomly go off. Took these 2 fobs to Ace and had them cut. They worked perfectly and were seriously easy to program. This saved so much money compared to having to go through a dealership!

So easy, I couldn't be happier
I normally do not write reviews for anything so the fact that I am you know this product is good, no great! I had the keys cut for $10 a piece at the local hardware store. They then program crazy easily. You literally start the car with the old key and then turn the engine off. Next, you turn the new key to ON in the ignition without starting the car and wait for the security light to go off (took 5 seconds for my 2013 Chevy Equinox). You can then start the car and the program is magically all programmed. All of the buttons worked instantly. I don't understand how it can do it that easily and quickly but it works perfectly. $25 for two keys, $20 total to cut them, $45 total. It would have cost $300-$400 to replace these two key fobs commercially. The value and compatibility were amazing. Thank you Amazon!!!

Good quality, little info
was easy to assemble and functions well enough. No instructions were included though and no tools to assemble/take apart.

Easily done
These key fobs came exactly how described and were easy to cut and programmed within a few seconds of starting the procedure, definitely would buy them again if ever needed and would recommend it for sure….

Not for a 2019 Impala
For clarity of explanation of programming, I highly recommend the YouTube video by PYR automotive, “How to Program a Chevrolet Impala Smart key Remote Fob”. Couldn’t be explained any better. Still it’s easy to fail (Don’t forget to use the Fob to lock the car to finish the procedure). Allow a lot of time. Still perseverance will be rewarded. I think I tried three times before I got it right, but the first try was according to a different instructor. In all about 2.5 -3 hours for me. That was okay this time because I was hanging out in the Walmart parking lot while the wife was shopping. Actually made the waiting a little better. Before you try to program the fob you need to get it cut (copying) the cut from the other key I hope you have. Search for an “automotive locksmith”. Pretty sure it can’t be done by the box stores or kiosks. There comes a time in the procedure when all existing key fobs will no longer work. So you need to have them all close by for the programming. After my second attempt, I was in a car in the Walmart Parking lot Saturday night at 10:00, and realized I no longer had a working key for my car. A little bit of an adrenaline. Third time was the charm. Proved it when my old fob started working again. But the new one would only lock and unlock doors. It would not permit starting. Two came in the package. And I also have a 2014 impala. Which is different because it is not a push button start. Call me a glutton for punishment, I’m going to give it a try. As for the 2019, this afternoon I stopped at the dealer, provided the VIN, bought a GM fob and have confidence I will be able to program it after it’s cut. I suppose getting it cut could be considered optional. Problem is you don’t want to be locked outside your car with no power. Only time you ever need it to be cut.

Needs to be programmed at a dealership and that is quite costly.
You might want to just order one through your dealership because they have to program it anyway and that will add to this purchase price. Get it done right the first time. Go to your dealership.
