⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Have for Every Aquarium Owner!
API AMMO-LOCK is an absolute lifesaver! It instantly neutralises harmful ammonia, keeping my fish safe and stress-free. I’ve used it in both freshwater and marine tanks, and it works perfectly every time. The 473 ml bottle lasts a long time, and the dosage instructions are clear and easy to follow. I really notice the difference in water clarity and fish behaviour after using it — especially during filter maintenance or new tank cycles. It’s one of those products I always keep on hand. Reliable, effective, and excellent quality — highly recommend for any aquarium setup! 🐠💧

Works as intended but not concentrated so dosnt last very long
Bought to deal with an ammonia spike. Works as intended and converts the ammonia to its non toxic form for 48hrs. Easy to use and measure out. It’s worth noting that if you are using the API ammonia test, the non toxic form of ammonia still shows up as the test looks for both NH3 & NH4. So you could be fooled into thinking this product isn’t working. I used a Seachem Ammonia Alert (which only tests for the toxic form NH3) to keep an eye on when this product was wearing off. Only issue is the bottle dosnt last very long, as it’s not a concentrated solution so if you have a prolonged ammonia issue as I did (my cycle crashed after medication) you will run out.

Aquarium Ammonia lock.
Disappointed to see my aquarium fish water have a slightly raised ammonia reading and purchased this product from a well known and reliable aquatic supplier. A further water change and one 5mm dose of this product resolved the problem. Recommend API products.

Works perfect when required
Even running a tight cleaning regime in my tank, I still have odd ammonia spikes for no obvious reason. This works perfect every time, and relives the worry about my fishes health.

I'd like to see some proof that it converts Ammonia to ...
I have used this for almost a week now & I am always reading 0.25 ppm Ammonia using the API water test kit, I'd like to see some proof that it converts Ammonia to less a toxic substance, if that's the case no Ammonia would be present as it has been 'converted'. To be honest I feel it has very little effect on the Ammonia what so ever & is like a humans placebo. I have tap water that reads lees than 0.25ppm, at a guess I'd say 12ppm & I add 5ml per 20-30ltr during a water change - which has little effect as I still read 0.25ppm Ammonia regardless how many water changes I do my readings are as follows - Ammo 0.25ppm, Nitrite 0ppm, Nitrate 20ppm. I also use Tetra Ph/Kh minus which states adding 25ml to the aquarium 'will instantly remove Ammonia' up to 4.0ppm.....it doesn't, all it does is lower the Ph sharply which in turn in combination with the 0.25ppm Ammo stresses the fish even more!!

Great product
Got this after trying other products that say they help control Ammonia but to no effect. However API Ammo Lock actually worked after just 3 treatments, very impressed with this product.

works great to get rid of ammonia in tank

Bought this to put in bait tank for shad. Seems to work well with salt and a slime coat protector to keep them alive.

This product does not remove ammonia; it only converts toxic ammonia (NH3) into a non-toxic form (NH4⁺) that is safe for fish. Therefore, the total ammonia nitrogen (TAN = NH3 + NH4⁺) is not reduced. Keep in mind that standard test kits also measure TAN, not just free ammonia (NH3). As a result, test readings will not drop significantly after using this product, even though the harmful part has been neutralized. The actual removal of ammonia happens only when beneficial bacteria in the biological filter are working properly.

I feel like the description on Amazon is misleading but once you get the product, it is very clear. If you have ammonia in your reef tank, your fish are in danger. This product gives your fish a couple of days for you to either get the ammonia down or find them a new home. I was having issues with a newer tank, and I dosed the tank with this product just to be sure everyone was safe. Well, in the morning, my royal gramma had passed away, BUT the sea horses and dottyback miraculously were still alive. I thought, oh crap, the Ammo-Lock killed the gramma (but now I'm certain the exposure to ammonia, nitrites, and phosphates were just too much for him, Ammo-Lock or not). The seahorses survive and went to a friend, but the dottyback stayed because he was doing ok. 2-1/2 days later, he was about 5 minutes from death. I realized then that the Ammo-Lock had saved him and the seahorses because I saw first hand that the Ammo-Lock had worn off just like the instructions said: it only lasts about two days . So, the dottyback got tossed into a tank with lots of coral, and he recovered within the hour. I dosed again with the Ammo-Lock when I got a bit of ammonia in that tank (it's a long story), and he's still going strong. The corals are fine, and the tank parameters didn't change a bit after dosing. This stuff really works. If you have a complete tank meltdown like I did, this will save fish lives while you figure out how to save the tank. You may still lose a fish or two, but Ammo-Lock is a hail Mary to begin with. If you're having issues with a new tank or start to see the beginnings of tank meltdown, Ammo-Lock is a must. I will ALWAYS have a bottle handy.

Works like a charm, made our fish healthy again as long as you use it as per instructions.
