I'm learning different global cuisines to be more plant-based, and to incorporate health-supporting herbs and spices. YouTube has recipes from the world, but, as a westerner , many ingredients like curry leaves are not known or easily accessible at grocery stores. I ordered these for a vegetable side dish, and wow you get a lot, they were nice and green, whole dried leaves. No stems or seeds or brown weird leaves. The taste is gentle and hard to describe, but I'd say fresh and they add a little astringent tangy crisp flavor, and a lovely fragrance and aren't overpowering so I can't mess up if I use more leaves. They smell amazing. These are widely used in Pakistani/Indian/South Asian/Sri Lankan/Bangladesh/Nepal/Southeast Asian cuisines. And I'm looking forward to enjoying more recipes that are flavored so elegantly while offering health benefits with products like these curry leaves.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fragrant when I cook with them. It was mild but I could still smell the fragrant when I opened the jar. I would have given it a five star but the price is on the high side. The question now is how long will the fragrant last after the jar had been opened. Having said that if I cook Indian curry or Dahl often I will use them up rather quickly as there was not a lot of leaves in the jar. Overall it is a good product.

These are an excellent product. Nice scent and good flavor. Really work in curry recipes. If you don’t live near an Indian grocery for fresh leaves, this is the next best thing. Highly recommend.
