Maas Concentrated Metal Cleaning & Polishing Creme, 113g

I restore antique cut throat razors and have always used this to give a final mirror polish to the blade - either by hand or using a Dremel. This also works very well on the razor acrylic handles and stands that I make. I start by using a selection of abrasive French polishing waxes, but the final polish is always with MAAS and I wouldn’t change it. I am sure that it would work very well on any smooth metal surface although I haven’t tried it - you only need a tiny amount to do the job.

Thought I’d ruined a washroom tap by using a bleach with lime scale cleaner leaving the tap heavily tarnished. I bought this as a last resort before buying a new tap (yes, it really was that bad!). I followed the instructions; dried the tap thoroughly, applying a small amount, rubbed in (changing the cloth to a clean section when the section I was using was black) and then buffed with a clean cloth. The tarnish is gone and the tap as good as new. I would recommend, based on not so positive reviews, ensuring you use a clean cloth whilst polishing the product in (before buffing). For me, I just moved on to a clean section once the piece I was using was black. As I said, my tap was ruined with the tarnish but this did the trick. I am just sorry I did not take a before photo and I will not be using the bleach/limescale product ever again so you’ll just have to take my word for it!

I have used MAAS metal polish for years and because it is quite expensive have tried other polishes from time to time. MAAS is the best by a long way and as the saying goes ‘you get what you pay for’. Whatever you clean stays looking good for longer and the polish lasts for quite some time. Just wish it was cheaper!

Maas is almost miraculous in action. Use sparingly and there is no need for hard rubbing. The tarnish is removed in seconds. Ideally use a microfibre applicator cloth and a microfibre polishing cloth, but I have used all types of cloth over the years with excellent results. It is not quite 'rub on' and then 'rub off' but do a section at a time and don't let the treated surface dry out before polishing. The depth of shine on silver, copper and brass is remarkable and the product is very economical. Importantly, the 'shine' lasts for a reasonable time.

My stainless steel sink had been stained for a long time. My usual cleaner wouldn't shift it. So I had a look on Amazon and found this. I already had some, which had been in the cupboard for years which I used for cleaning pewter, so I tried it on the sink. It brought it up like new. I was more than impressed - I was thinking I would need a new sink!. I've now bought some more, so I don't run out. I'm now a very happy bunny.

I was a little bit pessimistic about cleaning my very much neglected necklace consisting of loads of little chains. After using the tiniest bit of MAAS creme and then polishing it it came up absolutely brilliant. And I mean shiny as new. Then I tried our stainless steel handles which are nightmare to clean of finger marks and now they look new like never touched before. very pleased with this product and I would highly recommend it. Although it is a bit pricey, you need just tiny bit to clean big item.

What a product!!!!! its fantastic, I had never heard of this before. we had just moved and there is a brass fireplace but it looked like it had not been cleaned for years I tried allsorts to polish it but it just remained tarnished. I was walking around our local car boot and there was some one selling brass (it was gleaming) I asked what they polished it with and they showed me a MAAS box and told me where to order it from. my fireplace is fantastic now.

I had a tube of the original pink MAAS which was brilliant but has just run out after me having it a long time. Sadly the formula has changed and the white cream isn’t anywhere near as good! Very disappointed! I couldn’t remove stains from my chrome taps with the new MAAS cream anywhere near as easily as the original. I’m just gutted I can’t get it anymore.
