Sumi Haigou Settuken Charcoal Bar Soap - 3 bars, 135g each

I love this soap. I've tried another brand of bamboo charcoal soap on amazon similar price, set of 3 as well. they both worked very well on my skin as well as my husband's but this particular brand beats the other one for the following reasons1. it arrives well packed2. each soap is bigger3. this one lasts longer4. I found the other one drying but this doesn't dry out the skin5. they both don't have strong scents but this one smells like natural oils (peppermint)6. most importantly the other brand was staining the walls of the bath, not nice, but this one surprisingly doesn't. Although it's black but somehow the lather isn't so black that it stains everything in the bath.Bamboo charcoal soap has been great on my skin, clearing up black spots and preventing bumps but I really love this brand. very well made.Hope this helps

I use this purely to wash my face and tame my oily skin. Charcoal is brilliant as it cleans my face, soaks up the oil and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry at all like normal soaps/face washes do. The bar lathers up really well too, I bought these in Jun 2019 and I’m still on my first bar that’s half way used! I just wet my face and run the bar across all of it once then use my hands to lather it, scrub then rinse. Absolute bargain as I used another charcoal soap from Lush which was equally as good but didn’t last half as long as these do.

A pack of 3 soap bars. The soap is nice, and doesn't leave your skin particularly dry, so it gets my seal of approval (but let's be honest, you're going to moisturise afterwards so it's kind of irrelevant). Does the activated charcoal have any effect? No idea, certainly none that I could see, but I'm not the most observant. It's a bar of black soap, that's really all I wanted, and I got it. I'll definitely buy again!

Bought this for myself after reading of the benefits of charcoal soap. You get loads of lather so a bar lasts ages. Now on my second bar and my skin is feeling great. I no longer need to use additional moisturising body lotions after showering (an extra 2mins in bed gained!), I've noticed a reduction in those little bumps I get on my upper arms, and the breakouts I'm prone to on my upper back have halted - coincidence? Maybe but I'm giving credit to the soap! My dad suffers from dry skin, so for his birthday I ordered him a packet too. You may think that it's an odd birthday gift but he was delighted! (I also took him out for a steak/wine lunch in case you think I'm a terrible daughter)Buy this soap - it's great!

I love this soap. It cleans very well, but my skin doesn't get dry at all. Sometimes I forget to use lotion afterwards. In Japan, Onsen (Hot-Spring) Hotel, where I met this wonderful soap, use this soap and you can buy it in their shop. This is not the exactly what I used to buy, and I think this one is a bit low grade, but I am still happy that now I can get a similar Charcoal soap bar here in UK.Btw, soap is sekken not settuken in Japanese.

I have sensitive skin - I have tried lots of face washes over the years but this is the only one which doesn't dry out my skin.Lasts a while and is a great price. Made in Japan quality.

Gawd knows what thickness and sheerness mean with regard to soap?Anywho... This is a decent charcoal soap. Foams nicely but rinses easily.Good multi purpose soap.I like the smell. It has a hippy shop incensey kind of smell but it's not very strong.
