Not what I expected
Having trouble finding a fever thermometer, I resorted the kind of glass mercury one we always had in the family home. When this arrived I had to laugh because it is hugely long. Not at all what I expected. The low rating is because of that.

A wonderful item to work with. Can also be used as a stirring rod. And easy to clean with etched in glass graduations.

Misleading....
what happened?!? I ordered a regular thermometer. The weird thing I got is at least 12 inches long! A regular thermometer is 6 inches long. I do not know the Jolly Green Giant! Barbara Anderson

i thought this was a regular old-timers plain old mercury thermometer.nope, it's a 10" rectal thermometer. FYI not looking foward to using it anytime soon...

Not what I thought.
I thought I was buying a regular thermometer, human kind, but received this. I have used it, testing it, and I’m of the opinion that it isn’t worth buying.

The description needs to say "not for human use"
