Platinum XL Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer

Gentlemen, if you’re of a certain age where nose and ear hair seems to sprout like you’ve been eating the dog’s Bob Martin conditioning tablets, you need one of these. This tool is terrific, very well machined and has a nice weight to it. It is superior to the electric trimmers I’ve owned and is satisfying to use- place in the nostril or ear and with a few quick twists of the base the hair is cut with no discomfort. The cleaning process is simple, a few passes with a small brush at the business end of the tool. It’s not cheap, but it is a quality product that is built to last, comes in a protective plastic case, and requires no batteries. Recommend

I wanted a manual nose trimmer to avoid another electric appliance with plugs and cables and carry cases and all that nonsense. These are small and neat and can easily fit into a travel bag. They work okay. You have to get used to the motion of twisting and don't expect it to get all the hairs in a single sweep like an electric trimmer. Give it a bit of time and practice and they do work fairly well. I haven't experienced any hair plucking or pain from using them. I cant see them breaking, it fact they seem more or less indescructible. The only reason to not give 5 stars is that they are a bit slow and take some practice to get used to.

It's supposed to be built from high quality steel and you wouldn't have any reason to doubt it when you get your hands on it. -- Very good design ensures painless hair removal. I've used it to trim my nasal hair and wondered if any hair was being removed as I felt absolutely no pain. However, a quick check at the mirror and the trimmer blades gave me confirmation of the amazing result I wanted - all those annoying hairs removed. -- Extremely simple to use. The Groom Mate comprises 2 sections (bottom cylinder and top cylinder with blades). Simply insert the Groom Mate into your nostril, hold the top section with one hand and then rotate the bottom section in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions with your other hand. That's it! No batteries and so no chargers and wires. Simple manual operation does the job brilliantly. -- Easy to clean. Wash under water and then wipe. The removed hair cannot get stuck and has nowhere to hide. -- Looks great and it's quite small (easily fits into the average-sized palm). -- Good packaging. The trimmer can be stored in a cylindrical, plastic tube that comes along with it. I haven't had any trouble with the Groom Mate and it's worked very well for me for nasal hair removal. I'd certainly recommend this trimmer.

Weighty tool but didn't know how to use manually to have a good result. Expected assisted movement not just manual. Feel solid and well made. Perhaps it's the operator. I should have checked first.

I ordered this with some nervousness given some of the negative reviews, but I have been really pleased with the results. The device itself is only about 5-6 cm long and the end that goes in your nose/ear is about 0.5 cm wide. It is a 2-handed job to use, but I found it is easy to turn the base and move around at the same time. The first time I used it I just inserted it in my nostril and twisted the base and nothing happened. I then realised I needed to move it around (!) and, after experimenting, have found that if I slowly rub it around the inside of the nostril it will cut most of the hairs. I have also found that varying the angle of the device in my nostril helps, for example inside the tip of the nose I have found that holding the device upright and then tipping it forwards and back again gets the best results. I guess the key is to experiment with it and see what works for you. It has cut my nose hairs shorter than anything I have used before and I have had a dedicated electric nose hair trimmer, used a beard trimmer and used little scissors in the past. As some reviewers have noted, it does occasionally pull the nose hairs, however it is only for a tiny fraction of a second and is just a slight nip and the hairs are still cut, i.e. I haven't ended up with hairs caught in it or being ripped out. It does miss some hairs, but I think that is down to the natural 'stickiness' inside the nose. If the hair isn't free then it won't get cut, but if you use this over a number of days then it will get them all as the hairs naturally move around anyway. I normally find my nose hairs very itchy and am constantly scratching my nose as a result. Having had this for a few days I don't think my nose has felt itchy once! I would highly recommend this if you don't mind experimenting to find what works best for you. In summary, it works, it doesn't need any batteries (which is great) and it takes up a tiny amount of space on the bathroom shelf or in a wash bag.

I guess this thing does a job. I was used to plucking my nose hairs, which was painful but tolerable. Then this started making my nose sore for several days afterwards so I looked for a new solution and this rated well. I didn't realise it was a manually operated thing and to be fair it is a robust little gadget. Does it give me the hair free nose I like? not really, it cuts close but to me the job is a little incomplete. I will persevere with it as I have no choice but I have to be honest and say it is not the solution I hoped it would be.

Dopo aver provato un paio di trimmer elettrici con risultati disastrosi per via dell'irritazione delle mucose e dolorosi nel taglio, questo piccolo strumento e' semplicemente perfetto. Non necessita di batterie, e' di ottima qualita' e, per chi come me viaggia molto, non occupa spazio. Come dicevo, e' del tutto indolore e soprattutto i peli tagliati non sono pungenti e non irritano quindi il naso. Devo dire che non e' un oggetto economico ma vista la manifattura credo che sia praticamente eterno, quindi vale assolutamente la spesa.

Quede sorprendido una vez supe como utilizarlo, hay que cogerle el tranquillo para no pellizcarte, pero una vez lo tienes por la mano es fantástico, sin pilas, de pequeño tamaño y acero se puede limpiar y es perfecto para los que nos desplazamos continuamente, indispensable para tu neceser.

So much nicer to use than a loud, plastic electric drug store trimmer. Nice solid feel and very effective. Great concept, brilliantly executed. Just be careful not to drop it if you have a ceramic bathroom floor: Murphy's law dictates it will hit the ground with the cutting edge, which may be enough to knock it out of perfect alignment and hinder its performance. Ended up buying a second one and I'm being more careful this time.

長さも人差し指ていどで非常にコンパクト。 少し重量感はありますがそれだけしっかりした作りで切れ味も抜群。 毛が引っ張られて痛い思いをすることはありません。 鼻の中なので深剃りとまではいかないですが 電池式よりもかなり短くカットできます。 ステンレス製なので手入れも水洗いできます。 説明書はついてませんでしたが使い方はシンプルなので必要ないかな。 電池式とかよりもこっちを買った方が絶対よいです。
