Brilliant antenna for a hide away solution
Purchased this to use in my Honda as I didn’t want a stick on windows antenna. Really easy to install and fires like a glove. If you have an external antenna then the signal is amazing but on my Honda it’s built into the wires on the rear windscreen heater so signal is intermittent. This is not the product but more the signal strength on my car.

Works as described
Was a little sceptical in buying this due to the low cost however did not want to go through the hassle of installing a screen antenna which, from previous experience, perform badly with intermittent performance. This little device however is a revelation as it’s low cost and easy to install, and works an absolute treat! It picked up hundreds of DAB, FM & AM stations on first scan and has performed well ever since, with no drop outs or poor reception experienced. Not one for writing reviews but this device worth a mention as it does exactly what’s written on the tin.

Worked well for 2 months, then died
Well, it worked really well for two months, then stopped working. I had it working with a Pioneer SPH-20DAB and DAB and FM reception were excellent, but even at £8 I can't go buying a new one every couple months in the hope one lasts longer, so sadly I'm back out looking for a DAB antenna for my car.

Get this, not a windscreen mounted one
Saw this on a DAB forum review after getting awful reception with a Kenwood windscreen stick on aerial. Thought for a whisker over £10, why not. I've suddenly gone from about 10 DAB stations in my van to the full spectrum that my car gets and all with good quality. Complete game changer. It just plugs into existing aerial with a splitter for DAB and FM, so no more ugly windscreen aerial. I wouldn't bother with anything else if you are having bad reception with a windscreen mount aerial. This has solved my issue and what was an expensive DAB head unit upgrade is now worth its weight. Great product and bargain price.

Will NOT work with active antenna. PLASE check which you have.
EDIT 02/10/2021: Appears it is mentioned in the description now that these 'may not' work with amplified signals. Would like to add though that I initially bought this as I had problems with my windscreen mounted ariel dropping signal. The signal drop was most likely caused by interference from a dashcam. Original Review below: I bought this hoping to use it with my Pioneer DA230DAB after having troubles with my windscreen mounted ariel dropping signal. Installed it within a few minutes but sadly it didnt work for me and I would later realise why......... The factory ariel on my 2013 Corsa D is an active antenna (think this means it has its own power source) and these gizmos are made to work with passive ariels...I had to dig into the review comments to find this out as I couldnt see this mentioned anywhere in the item description. I assume all the reviews stating it works perfectly have passive ariels... Didnt feel fair to leave negative feedback for what is essetially my own mistake. I just wish this information was more visible to potential buyers. Will be sending it back as its useless to me

On a MK2 Focus this WORKS!!!
After seeing these things around I had my reservations. In my previous vehicle I used a separate magnetic aerial but made my car look like a taxi! I had actually refrained from fitting my Pioneer X8700DAB because I didn't want 2 aerials, after fitting this little splitter I can tell you on a 2008 focus this works perfectly. My OEM Sony radio had poor FM reception at best and once I fitted my dash cam then reception was gone, I live in a town so reception should be good but even Radio 2 disappeared from time to time. Naturally I didn't expect this to work at all! Imagine my surprise when I powered on for the first time and inside a garage (where DAB reception was lost with an additional aerial) the radio displayed 'list updating' and once finished, a full compliment of digital radio stations were at my finger tips, the signal bar started on 2 then rose to full and stayed there! Absolutely amazed my standard aerial is now providing all my DAB stations! £11 well spent!

I Now Have DAB+ Reception
Sceptical at first but as long as your standard FM car aerial is powered, by that I mean on some vehicles the antenna / aerial on the vehicle requires voltage to switch on the aerial / antenna. This voltage is supplied by the original radio through the centre pin of the aerial. As my Honda Civic FM aerial was powered as standard, I used this adapter so both the FM and DAB sockets connected to my powered aerial. I'm guessing this power was enough to make the DAB+ work. It did and picked up everything. Only issue I noticed was volume was a lot lower on DAB compared to FM but can live with that. I was also guess this would not work using your standard aerial if it is not powered. I really didn't want that awful looking DAB aerial on the front windscreen, it also mean less work, no removing a pillar covers and routing another cable to the head unit. Very pleased with this cheap fix. AMENDMENT: Spoke too soon, I test after installing and without driving around. Whilst driving around, reception kept going in and out. So I've decided to go for the amplified version. Will try this and see how it goes. Remember, my experience is only on a Honda Civic 8th Gen.

Absolutely Brilliant!
I bought this to use on a new DAB+ system in my wife's classic car, as I thought it would be better than installing a stick on DAB ariel & I'm glad I bought this. The installation was really easy, as it was as simple as, connect the original automatic ariel to the the adapter, then connect the adapter to the stereo, so less than 2 minutes to fit. As soon as I started searching for the DAB station's I got a lot more stations than I do in my 2 year old car, so I was really surprised, but very happy. The only slight issue I had was the lack of space behind the single din stereo.......I say this as the adapter doesn't have much flexibility, but to be fair there is not much room for the new unit & all the wiring (it's an old sports car). But once I managed to get it all in place the new stereo worked great, & this adapter has saved me the hassle of fitting a separate DAB ariel to use alongside the original Ariel in the car. So if you have a car with a non DAB ariel installed & your charging to a DAB stereo, this could be the thing to save you time hassle & money, so I would advise you try this adapter. This is Absolutely brilliant & an easy 10/10 from me.
