Franke Olympus Replacement (1425R,SP1425, 133.0069.183) Spout Seal O Ring Kit

Easy DIY job that I did decided I could do myself after plumber quoted a daft price to fix! Original grub screw needed some persuasion to come out, see photo. New one had an end on it so Allen key didn’t go all the way thru it. Does the same job, just a different design. Only needed 1 of the 2 plastic rings on my tap (Olympus Filterflow), as some other reviews have said. See photo. Both black o rings used to replace existing. Cleaned and greased everything, easy to put back on with a firm press and wiggle of tap into base. No more puddly tap, yay!

The washer set fitted easily and worked well. However I removed a star because the brass grub screw sheared when the cold tap was turned on, launching the tap spout into orbit and wetting all the nearby cupboards. I can't say whether the grub screw was incomplete when I fitted it or whether the force of the water sheared the soft metal but I wish I had checked before fitting it. After mopping up I re-used the original grub screw and it has held the spout securely. The washers are working fine with no leaks.

It's a 2 minute job to replace the o-rings on my leaky tap and now it leaks no more; ideal little kit (the washer grease was a nice touch) that sorts the problem out. Good stuff.

Used to repair a leaking spout on a kitchen monoblock tap. A very good and full repair kit, and sensibly price, which was even supplied with silicon grease to lubricate the new seals with.

Instructions were clear. I couldn’t use the Allen key supplied due to limited room at the back of the tap. Perfect result! Update: unfortunately after a period of use the spout was pushed of the body of the unit whilst the tap was in use. I removed the spout again (sounds like incy wincy spider) and reassembled and the same result occurred. I have now reinserted the original plastic bearing rings (keeping the new o rings on the spout) and the spout now fits correctly . Therefore I will be regrading my review score to 3 stars.

If these are the correct washers for your tap they will as described ie Franke tap. You do need to know tap manufacturers

Ideal spare parts to rectify the sight leak on the tap spout. Took just a few minutes to remove the tap spout, replace the old parts with the new and refit. Job done and at a reasonable cost!
