I have been teaching piano for over thirty years, and I am pleased with the Bastien Piano Literature series. They are all original form pieces with a nice variety of composers from Baroque to 20th century. They are very affordable and just about the right length. You wouldn't want any more songs because the student would be ready for a different level by the time they got through the songs, if you are using them to supplement a piano method series as I am.

It's aggravating because, as a beginner, it took a while to perfect these songs.Then, I find out that I'm only playing a beginner version of the song.Now, to go back and learn the mordents and trills will take a decent effort.Otherwise everything else is great

Needed some new songs for my son - his lessons are on hold due to COVID-19. This is an excellent collection and while we've only learned a couple so far, I think its a great book for someone at this level. Lots of techniques, styles and classical periods are covered.

A good selection of beginner to early intermediate pieces. Well printed of good quality paper.

I like that this book has real pieces written by well known composers instead of easy adaptions of things. Really great music. I use this book with many of my students. I have a 7 year old playing out of this and I also have a 14 year old playing out of this so it really depends on the kid as we teachers know. So I can't give you a clear age group this is appropriate for, but I can tell you that it is appropriate for someone on Piano Adventures level 3b or 4 (a great series of piano books).

Tem uma seleção ótima de peças divididas por período Barroco, Clássico, Romantico e Século XX, inclui obras de grandes compositores como Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann, Kabalevsky e outros.A edição é bem legível e em ótimo tamanho, a maioria das peças têm apenas uma página, mas as peças de 2 páginas foram organizadas de forma que não é preciso virar a página. A encadernação é grampeada, mas ele não tem problemas de ficar aberto.

I thought this arrangements were easier as for beginners but its not.I didnt like the presentation of this book, I know is cheap but the quality is very low
