My 8 year old enjoys this book. It covers treble and bass clef and helps her cover theory alongside learning the piano. Most activities use stickers or colouring so she is kept engaged.

These books really are good for little children - fun to use with all the stickers, and suitably slow-moving.

I use these with all my little ones including the level 1 book. they love the stickers and sometimes beg to do another page instead of playing music. very suitable for piano lessons as a lot of exercises incorporate the keyboard but wouldn’t suit students learning other instruments.The age recommendation should be changed to 5 to 7 year olds though as it’s far too easy and babyish for older students. Music teacher.

Interesting, good for children.

Very nicely explained and fun exercises that introduce basic theory step by step. It is stickers for some activities e.g. note lengths in bars of different time signatures, which goes down well with kids. In fact my daughter often prefers doing her theory homework more than her actual piano practise 😉

Yet again, my 5-yr-old daughter loves this! She's gone theory-mad since starting these books, the author makes it so simple. I wish there were books just like this when I was younger, then I may have not given up certain instruments.

Fabulous book to get your children started in the world of music. I'm non-musical and have learnt a lot along side my 5 yr old who has started to play the piano. The book even grabbed the interest of my 7 yr old so I purchased a second copy for him to work through.
