Highly recommended... just what I wanted!
I bought this because it is simple, elegant, and looks to be made very well. Also the reviews here were so good.It took a very long time to arrive from Japan to the UK, but I must say that it is excellent. It fits just fine in the fridge door or big shelf. The filter part is very fine material and easy to clean. It is durable, and the process is easy to do.It is very tall and thin, which made me worry about knocking it over and breaking it. So far, so good.I have used it several times now, and it has produced excellent, smooth, rich coffee which never has bothered my stomach in the least. I have also had excellent success by making a second brew with the same coarsely ground beans. The brew is slightly lighter, but still very usable and delicious, without any hint of bitterness.Highly recommended!

Excellent Product and Great Value for Money
This product is the best, and easiest, way I’ve found of making delicious cold brew coffee.Just pop 80g of coarse ground (medium or dark roast) coffee into the filter. Add the filter to the jug then pour cold water onto the coffee, filling the jug to about 2cm from the top (I have the 1 litre) Then just leave in the fridge to brew for at least 12 hours. Once ready, remove the filter (it’s so easy to clean) and put your jug of cold brew concentrate back in the fridge. It normally lasts me a few days.Personally I love it mixed with normal milk or chocolate milk and some vanilla syrup for an amazing cold brew latte/mocha.If you like cold brew coffee I would recommend this product over any other I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a few.If you’ve decided to buy one, enjoy!

Definitely get the 1l version for daily coffee
The 1l capacity version of this is perfect for a sizable glass of coffee every morning as I finish the batch by the time the coffee starts to turn.Cold brew also produces less tannins which results in a sweeter tasting coffee that is much more to my preference. The bottle is well made and I've been using mine for almost a year now and it's yet to let me down. As it's all quality plastic and glass it is very easy to clean down and doesn't seem to 'trap' the coffee smell which keeps it feeling fresher

Nice and does the job
What I like about this product.Easy to useThe filter is easy to cleanEasy to emptyHolds a decent volume of concentrated coffee, since I am the only one who drinks it, it lasts about five days as I do not like to add too much since the max you should have is about 4 cups of coffee a day. What I dislike about the productThe jug is not easy to clean, as it is narrow. Although if you have a bristled brush it should be fine. The glass jug looks pretty fin, so I am not sure how long it will last. See the update part of my review for more info.Even though the filter is easy to clean after a while it got to the point where it was permanently stained.I'm not sure why there is a flavor rating. Since there are loads of things that can affect the flavor of the coffee. For example, the balance of minerals in the water you use, how the temperature of your fridge, or if you decide to brew it at room temp, how fine or coarse the coffee is, the brand you use, and the type of roast you use for your coffee. The list is endless! So I would ignore that metric on a purchase like this.Update: After 1 year and a half, mine has developed a crack on the top. To be fair I have been using this every week since the day I got it, so having to resort to buying a new one but not the exact one. It is still usable but who knows when the crack propagates rendering it useless. If you decide to get this, I find it is better to feel the jug with water first then place the filter in then the coffee. It saves waiting for all the water to drain from the filter into the jug.

Just what was missing from my life
Great item, can’t fault it! I have a sage Precision brewer and It has a setting for cold brew, but it restricts me to 400ml only. I have a couple of Hario products so I was draw to this. It arrived yesterday and I set about making cold brew instantly. I loaded the filter and poured in the coffee and left it was 16hrs.This morning I was welcomed to a delicious 1litre of refreshing cold brew coffee. This product is marvellous and would recommend it. I bought the brown version with was cheaper in price as I couldn’t justify the extra expensive for a brighter colour! This product works wonders and straight out the box!

Excellent
Great size and very well-made. I appreciate this is made with care in Japan. Making cold brew in this pot is so simple and a breeze. The filter can come apart at the bottom so this makes it easy to empty the coffee grounds and clean the filter. I love it!

Cold brew is the new espresso
After making cold brew with my French press I decided to try this from Hario. Nothing wrong with using the press but leaves quite a bit of sediment so I thought this will do better.Simple design and like all Hario products it looks good and minimalist. Using it is easy. I fill the filter with 100 grams of medium ground coffee and add 1 litre of cold water. I pour the water through the coffee to make sure it is fully saturated and use a long spoon handle to mix it. The rest of the water can be poured in through the spout to speed up the process. The only downside of this jug is that you have to make 1 litre coffee all the time because the grounds are suspended from the top and the bottom is in line with the 800 line. This is not a problem for me as I can drink it in two days. The jug will fit in the fridge door but I rather use a cheap glass bottle and keep this safe.Cool piece of kit for the cold brew lover.

Good product
Will save me a fortune as I currently buy iced coffee. Have used this twice now with my choice of coffee and it drip feeds the cold water very well ,you do have to agitate the coffee in the strainer as per instructions . Makes a good cup of cold coffee as long as you allow to stand on fridge over night.

Um produto padrão Hario. A cesta onde é colocado o café tem uma tela em poliéster bem fina. É preciso tomar cuidado ao lavar. E tem uma abertura em baixo para permitir a eliminação do café após a extração.

Great Product, Easy to Use
So glad I bought this! It takes the mess out of making cold brew. Simply put grounds in the cup portion and let soak for 14-18 hours. Then take the cup out and dump the grounds in the trash. Cold brew is ready, no grounds filter through.

Great for cold brew tea
This product works very well to brew ice tea with loose tea or tea bags in the fridge. It's a perfect size for two people or four who just want small glasses as you probably don't want the tea to sit longer than it needs to in the fridge. The measurements on the side make it easy to brew the amount of tea you need. I find it easy to clean as I'm able to fit my hand inside to wipe it out (although I have small hands). It seems well made and we've used it several times this summer. It is on the taller and slimmer side, although it still fits upright in our small fridge. If I needed another, I would buy this product again.
