This is my honest review of the Kastking cutthroat fishing pliers and braided scissors. They both feel really nice, and the build quality is great. They have a bit of grip to them as well. The line cutter on the pliers is sharp, but the scissors are very sharp! They cut line very smoothly. But, just so everyone knows, the scissors have very very tiny serrations so they can’t be sharpened again. I’m not sure if that’s a deal breaker for anyone, but I honestly like the serrations. They are pretty lightweight, and the pliers sheath fits in all of my jeans pockets. They are easy to use but one thing is that the pliers take a bit of force to get in and out of the sheath. I have only ONE complaint. I wish that the scissors would have come with some kind of sheath. But they do have a hang hole. Oh, and there’s one more thing. The carabiner might as well not be included. It’s absolutely trash. I don’t think it could have supported 1lb. It was like, bent, and the latch part was completely broken. I just threw mine away and used a different one. Overall, I think these are great for the price, considering most name-brand fishing pliers are $30 and these include scissors with them. I am very satisfied with my purchase. (Other than the carabiner).

For the price, they do a very great job. The scissors are game changing for me. Super sharp and can cut through anything. Perfect for braid. The pliers are almost perfect. A little too big for the occasional panfish but perfect for any larger species (which I’m sure is what they’re meant for). And I love how the green looks on it. Hard to lose it in the dark.

Great quality, great prices will last me a lifetime.

Pliers are great, they work with no problems and are comfortable to use. The lanyard attachment is nice but the carabiner it comes with is cheap. The little scissors are really great, just wished they came with a lanyard sheath. My only real complaint is that pliers sheath is terrible. It will not stay on your waistband and the pliers do not come out or go in smoothly. It’s like the sheath was made for some other set of pliers.

Over the years I've bought many pieces of fishing gear, this is by far the my most used piece of equipment. I use it for everything from dehooking fish, tying knots, changing hooks on my lures and even fixing the boat. They are of solid quality and the rubberized texture on the handles ensure a solid grip even when you have fish slime on your hands. The scissors are another must have accessory especially if you fish with braid, they make clean cuts and don't shred or tear the braid making it easier to thread through lure eyes. Theses scissors are by far better quality then others I've had previously. If you don't have a pair of fishing pliers already I highly recommend you get a pair of these.

Scissors slice braid with no issue, pliers are excellent. I've had a pair for close to 7 years now and the line cutter on the pliers is just starting to have trouble with braid, still cuts mono/fluorocarbon without issue. That's pretty great durability imho. No issues with rust or anything. KK is on a roll

scissors work fantastic pliers are very good i will not by cheap again

Got this for my husband as a gift. They apply a good amount of pressure. Line cutter is super handy. Have noticed little bit of rust but nothing major for having use it for two seasons in all conditions
