Perfect for me
These are really handy! It takes care of the boring mechanical part of putting together level shifters and connectors... I have a whole bunch of FTDI TTL-232 leads lying about but needed level shifters and 9pin connectors, these are were perfect as they needed soldering on. The fact that they come in male and female varieties even eliminates the need for null modem cables as you might have to use with a traditional usb-serial adapter.

Bloody brilliant!
Fantastic little pair of devices that convert 3.3V level 232 serial data to +/-5.5V level and vice-versa. Uses Sipex 3232EE chip so if you have any questions then look at that datasheet. Very handy in that they are so small they fit in a standard DB9 connector shell so can be hidden away. Also ordered at 5pm and received the next morning. Kebab!
