Fun for the whole family
Definitely a lot of fun for groups or families with creative types. Great way to exercise our imaginations and thinking on our feet.

Best played at a round table
We tried to convert this to a group game with twelve of us, but it was impossible. So we had two tables and it was important that everyone could clearly read the word clue. This game is about creativity and being able to put together some hysterical sentences.

An enjoyable game, and fun stories
I was not sure how this game was going to go. It was a gift for my boyfriend and his family and we played it after they opened it. It was very simple and pretty fun actually! We had some good laughs at the stories that came out of the game and now we have some good inside jokes. I think this game is good for, like it says, creative people. If you are getting together with a ton of literal people or uninteresting conversationalist, it may not be so fun. The stories aren't supposed to make sense and you have to be able to make connections in the story with the strangest words, so it takes some out of the box thinking. The red and green card deal with the whole voting if the story makes sense we didn't really use, mostly because it seemed a little obtuse. I like how even if you got the same cards the story was never the same, so you could play it for hours and get a different story every time. The quality of the game was very good the cards were nice and it came with everything that is described. The box was smaller that I thought it would be, bit I was happy it was. I expected a bigger game but was pleasantly surprised. Overall I think it makes a great addition to any gaming family's collection.

Great family friendly party game! Very different and refreshing.
This game is very fun when played with five or more players. It is very different than most games which is refreshing. The rules are not the best and do not make the most sense; For instance, the rules state that if a player gets through all the other player's questions then they gain two bonus points, but this makes no difference at all, as they get a point per-question cleared anyways, so these bonus points can not change player standing at all. With time, players get pretty good at the game and three or four way ties happen often. We found that instead of moving on to the next player when the story teller has answered the table's questions, the game runs faster if we let the story teller continue past one circle around the table until they fail, as this reduces the need to start new stories later on to figure out ties.

It takes the right crowd
If you have a high energy, chatty group, this game has the potential to be fun. With my current group though, it was slow, lacking in any real clear direction, and not as fun as I had hoped.

A fun game for adventurous groups!
Played this with our 20-something aged kids on New Years Eve (game night tradition). It was easy to learn. We had a blast.Rule number one: remember what you said.Rule number two: realize embarrassment is not going to work in your favor. Pick your storyline and go All In!I think it would be OK to play with younger kids, but the 10 seconds to start your answers might be tougher as you choose your age appropriate answers and not just any answer off the top of your head.Try it. You'll probably like it.

Not bad
Not a bad game but pretty now on replayability factor. After a few round gets a bit boring

We love this game
We play Mad Libs quite a lot and I was looking for something sort of similar. I stumbled across The Awkward Storyteller. I think that it is more entertaining than Mad Libs because it gives the players a lot more freedom. Everyone is engaged in it because everyone has a part that they play in creating the story. We don't score it and sort of have our own rules. We pass out the question cards as one less than the number of players to all the players except the story teller. With a small group the story is over when there are no more question cards, with a large group the story is over after everyone has asked one question. I had not noticed that the age range was 16+ and we had a 10 year old playing with us. Part of the fun last night was to set someone up for something that was inappropriate for a 10 year old and watching as they tried to get around it. He liked the game so much that he insisted on 2 more rounds. This will be a game we play for a long time.

Quite good fun
Nothing wrong with the game and produced some laughs around the table. It tends to favour those who speak more fluently or can think quicker; it leaves others a bit bewildered. It provided variety, but we soon reverted to 'Cards Against Humanity' which produced the usual hilarious uproar.

Belly laughing at some answers!
Really funny game after a girls night (and a fair bit of alcohol). Not sure how funny it would be sober and could see it getting a bit repetitive but not played it again since as yet.Easy to play. Took a fairly adult theme so not really for kids.

Really enjoyed playing this game over Christmas
Really enjoyed playing this game over Christmas, we played with our whole family from age 9 upwards and it was totally fine for the children, our 12 year old was better at it than anyone else! Didn't feel the need to remove any of the story cards as nothing seemed that dodgy and party gamey. Yes it is a party game and yes it takes away your inhibitions and helps the story flow let's say if you've had a few drinks, but it is by no means essential. Just a really fun family/friends get together game, bit different from the norm. Highly recommend if you want some giggles. I ended up giving the game to my brother who loves games, so now I am hoping they will come back into stock so that I can buy another copy for myself!
