Design fault
Got 2 of these to carry 2 bikes in the back of my Berlingo. I fitted the hitches to a board and attached the board to the floor, removed the front wheels of the bikes and dropped the forks onto the hitches. Looking good I thought, until I tried to tighten the hitches up and found that the protruding nut (see pic) holding the tightening lever was fouling the fork, stopping the bolt from being tightened.I managed a work around by adding a number of nylon spacers but this has reduced the gaps for the forks making it difficult to drop the forks in place. Maybe it’s just my bikes and other people won’t have the same problem, but you don’t know until after you’ve bought it.

Decent bit of hardware
Decent bit of hardware - I have bolted two to a length of wood, strapped in place using a ratchet strap and the car boot tie-down points. I'm much happier transporting the bikes with this setup than with a boot mounted external rack at five times the price.I've knocked a star off for a slightly misleading description - despite what the photo shows, the bracket didn't come with bolts [EDIT - photo has now been updated], - using the mount is only a theft deterrent in that the bikes are kept in the car - it does not 'lock' as such, and is probably faster to remove the bikes from this mount than from any rear- or roof-mounted rack.

Easy to fit, good delivery time.
Works well for my road bike but by making the quick release slightly longer with adapters for my Thru axel cyclocross bike would make it so much better.

any bike could be removed easily with no knocks
Saw this in use in the UK, must have! Bolted to a board, with fixing for the rear end, wheels off, road bike slides into the back of the estate. Saw 4 in use in the back of a VW transporter on a vertical partition, 2 high, 2 low, any bike could be removed easily with no knocks. In a similar height van you would only need to remove the front wheel, whereas for an estate, both wheels need to come off.

Carry your bike upright in the car or caravan
I have two of these. I have attached them to lengths of wood one to enable me to carry a bike in the back of my Honda CRV and the other in my Eriba caravan. They hold the front forks of the bikes securely and then its a matter of fixing the lengths of wood to the car or caravan. I am really pleased with them as they enable me to transport my bikes in an upright position in my caravan and car.

Works great for Mountain Bikes
Works brilliantly to save use of front wheel and then using back wheel on a rolling road. Turned my bike into indoor bike, sweet

Do not buy
They are not fit for purpose due to first they are not high enough when mounted, unable to turn locking bar due to height to low so you will have to make a block to raise, secondly the end nuts are serrated which will bit into the frame (not good) which i learnt the hard way, had to destroy the bracket to get the bike off, they are a good idea so can only suggest go for the expensive type as these have had zero thought put into them and no engineering, will have to put some engineering into them to make any use out of them.

A great alternative to using the external rack
Used this to transport two of my bikes in a hire van. Very stable. Have also used them in the back of the car with saddle removed. A great alternative to using the external rack.
