Would i still be able to ride a bike with this on? Looking for side and back support

Absolutely. This was the only support that actually was worth its money. With a sprained ankle, I’ve worn it for numerous weeks? And now my 10yr old has an infected Achilles Heel and she’s been wearing it to school for several weeks. It’s perfect.

Can you ware this with boots or shoes

I also broke ankle ( both it turned out) Wore this inside boots or trainer, no problem. Did need to adjust lace fitting to expand shoe / boot, easy enough to do, and I used a shoe horn due to injury to put footwear on while wearing ankle strap, ( heel part kept getting in way) And once inside footwear it felt very comfortable and easy to wear for several hours.

I am a women’s size 8 (42 eu) and I ordered a Large for wearing over winter socks. I am delighted with the support and wear it all day as I ask recovering from a sprain. I continue all normal activities. It is on my right foot and have no difficulty using the car accelerator.

Would this keep your ankle at a 90 degree ankle if you were laying on your back with legs straight out in front of you?

Yes. The straps can be adjusted to tighten. But it won't stop external rotation when lying down. It'll still be 90 deg in relation to foot though. Hope this helps. It gives very good stability.
