Grizzly Spit Camp Fire or Fire Pit BBQ Rotisserie

I received this item in good time, well packaged and it actually seems quite robust. I am looking forward to using it! I will update the review once I have tried it out.In the meantime, it has a DC input socket, does anyone know what specs it requires? Or is it simply one that is the equivalent of the battery box - which is 2 x D Cell batteries? So 2 x 1.5V so need a 3V DC input?

Oh Yes! I wanted to wait until i had used it before posting a review. Brilliantly simple to se up and use. The back of the motor unit has a metal plate to help protect against heat, the 2 upright poles are a decent length and the cross pole is a great length. Here is what is doesn't tell you however....if you are doing a chicken or 2, put a lemon inside the chicken otherwise it will simply rotate and the chicken won't - that way it has something to hold onto. Also create a really think hot bed of wood embers before starting if using wood and similarly with charcoal and replace every 30/40 minutes, the wind or breeze will have an effect on the heat. It's not quick, it's twice the time of a dutch oven chicken but it is cool as and is a great toy to have. It comes in a long box but has a bag inside it once you have opened it so you can discard the box, or keep it if your gf is slightly ocd. Please please be careful of the 'meat spikes' that attach to the meat, they hurt alot if you're cooking in the dark and step on them afterwards! Buy it, you won't be disappointed. I will do rolled Beef next time, if i get too hungry it will just be a bit more rare mmm.

I am something of an outdoor eating and cooking fanatic. I also own a narrow boat. A lot of opportunities to BBQ or rotisserie on river and canal banks. I already have a very costly and very bulky rotisserie at home but far too big and heavy to cart around on a boat.After looking for months on the internet I finally saw the Grizzly Camp Fire BBQ Rotisserie for sale.I put in my order and in a few days it arrived.I am well pleased. It is easy to set up. It works a dream. It is light, portable, takes up hardly any space and is just what I wanted.IT IS MY BEST BUY IN YEARS.I have had no problems with the motor as described by someone else and for me it has made my outdoor cooking so much easier and so very enjoyable.There is something very satisfying about sitting down with a glass of rioja in the opoen air watching a chicken or a pork joint slowly turning on the spit and cooking to perfection. The meat also stays very moist and tender and tastes quite amazing. I look forward to many great meals from it.A great product.Tony Neale

This is a great product if you love camping and you fancy cooking something other than Sausages. but you need patience and it does make a whirring noise that might put people off - though after a minute we didn't notice it. the batterly lasts for a few hours - certainly enough to do a small chicken. It is worth buying extra rotisserie forks otherwise you can only do one at a time - and it's better to do two small chickens than one big one.

Really pleased with this device. Well made, easy to use and most importantly we've cooked some fantastic meals with it over a firepit. Highly recommend this product!

A neat little spit...easy to set up with everything you need to roast meat successfully. We like to pre cook all our meat first to ensure cooking time isn't too long and it browns it well,baste if you like. Battery works well no problems. Arrived promptly, well packaged.Would recommend this item.

I have wanted one of these for the last 5 years since I saw one on an American site, I finally bit the bullet and bought it, All I can say is I am the happiest camper on earth, this is such a good quality item, the rotation speed is perfect, the amount it can hold would feed a family of 15. I can not say enough but I already have, buy this one, buy this one, buy this one.

Absolutely fabulous, also bought the add on for kebabs and the hex addon to cook more meat. The motor spins slowly giving a nice even cook all round. Delivery also quick .
