Pump It Up Body Burn [2011]

Great burn
Much harder work than I expected, I exercise every day including energetic stuff like Zuma, so thought 3 sections plus warm up and cool down would not be beyond me. WRONG! After the toning I skipped the aerobics and went straight to abs, absolutely exhausted. It's quite difficult to pick up routines (and I've been dancing since I was 3, almost 50 years) but enjoyable challenge.

Fun and different
This DVD sees the welcome return of Gareth Walker. It contains two seperate dance sections which follow the format of 'Dancemix', and an aerobic section that really does the job. In a market flooded with celebrity Interval Training DVDs (and there's still no need to go to anyone but Davina for those), the Pump It Up series offers something completely different. Although there are a few tricky moves it's generally fairly easy to pick up, and provides real fun. Gareth is a great instructor, really funny and a wonderful motivator. A worthy addition to the series.

ok but a bit hard for beginners
really good fitness dvd for people who enjoy dancing. however if you are a beginner I would not recommend this dvd as it is very fast paced and is hard to keep up. once you have used it for a couple of weeks it does get easy to do the dances so if you are willing to stick to the fitness dvd then you should be able to notice a difference.

Feel like a club dancer!
This DVD is great!!I bought this at the same time as the new Davina body buff. All I can say is I have done this dvd now about 10 times and the Davina DVD once. After doing these 2 dvds there is no comparison which is more fun and motivating. This MOS DVD is so much fun and you really concentrate on perfecting the style of your moves rather than "oh when does this section end!", and by the end youre panting and sweating. You can put more effort into the moves to tire you out more. I find the 'shake it and move it' and 'pop it and lock it' sections can be slightly easier if you dont REALLY go for your dance moves. I feel totally great at the end like I could be a background dancer on a music video hehehe. Ive just bought the other 2 dvds with Gareth Walker as he's such good fun and makes you feel like youre on fire! he que's you in well and reminds you which move is next by giving them little names 'weave it' 'pop it' 'beyonce' etc, makes it much easier to pick up.I have noticed a difference in body shape doing this dvd a few times a week for 2-3 weeks.Go buy it!

It's ok
DVD is not how the product describes. Im At the gym and work out classes on a weekly basis. The work outs are really fast & impossible to keep up with. You can see the DVD is being edited as the people never work up a sweat and constantly have there make up on!I like a challenge but a realistic oneI would not recommend to a friend

Wow!!
I have several Pump It Up DVD workouts and the last one I owned was Aeroburn. I've never had Pump It Up: Body Burn before until I bought it this year to keep myself motivated and focused during the lockdown. I have to say this is an amazing workout and I am very impressed! The toning and LBT part killed me! Gareth is funny and very encouraging as always. The girls are fab.The music is brilliant as part of my generation (during my early 20's) and the workout is brilliant, hard work and exhilarating at the same time. Sweating like crazy. I can't wait to do this again. If you love dance aerobics and toning, you will love this!

Don't have to be fit to do it
I've tried a bunch of celeb exercise DVDs such as Davina McCall, Vicky Binns, Charlie Westbrook, etc and none of them motivated me to enough to work out regularly. I bought this one because I love aerobics and saw it advertised on DVD. I've got two other Pump It Up DVDs too but this is my fave. It is so much fun and keeps me motivated. I exercise 30-40 mins everyday and I definitely feel fitter. I am not fit, slim and have never professionally danced in my life. I can keep up easily but struggle on the 'stretch' because you need to be flexible for that. The other 5 out of the 6 was fine. The first time I used the DVD I could only do 20 mins but within a week moved up to 40 mins a day. It is very fun and motivating. Gareth Walker is great and not annoying at all. I never heard of the guy until this and think he is great.

Disappointing
I found this dvd really difficult. Not because of the fitness level it requires (since I am in good shape and health and my fitness is great) but simply because of the moves. I'm not a dancer, but I am someone who can keep in time and rhythm and I even used to take a class in street dance. However, this was so much harder. They moved so quickly through each move that I couldn't get through it. It was frustrating to stand there, unable to do the moves that they were rushing through. I warn those who buy this dvd that if they're not already dancers, or familiar with the moves then they might find it quite a struggle.
