For an actual plush that I would give as a gift, this is actually sort of an odd design. The filling expands nicely, but the angles of the sewn pattern isn’t quite flat not round and looks a bit wonky. Also the ears don’t keep stuffing in them and collapse even with filling manipulation. It is still really really cute (I have a weakness for ginger cats) and the material is even softer and more satisfying than the Squishmallow brand, so huge win. My purpose for purchase is actually a practical one, and for my purpose, I would rate it more than five stars if possible. So somehow I got hooked on having a plush as a very specific sleep aide. I purchased a 6” Squishmallow character because it was super cute, but a little too small to actually have as something to cuddle or have as decoration, but the softness of it was so nice and soothing l could not resist holding onto it. Now I’m a side-stomach sleeper, somewhere halfway between, essentially a stomach sleeper but propping my leg / hip to get just the right angle. A throw blanket makes for the best body pillow for this alignment, and usually I’d have excess blanket to be able to use to prop under my chin as extra support for that hollow area between my neck and pillow. This is where that 6” Squishmallow came to find itself as an extra little chin pillow. It has gotten where I cannot sleep without that cute and velvety little bolster. I started on a quest for an affordable replacement option that was just as soft and plush. Obviously it had to be super cute, but also shouldn’t be of a design with lots of flaps and textured details. That’s where this little guy comes in. The weird angular shape makes this ideal for my purposes. I can literally wedge this under my chin and snuggle in and fall asleep like a baby. The tail doesn’t even necessarily get in the way, and the material is so nice, it makes a for something really nice to grip in a way of stimming.
