This time, I opted for the larger 25cm round basket instead of my usual oval one, as I wanted to start making bigger loaves. The basket is made from 100% natural rattan, free from any harmful chemicals, which is reassuring. It’s sturdy, lightweight, and smooth, with no rough edges, making it perfect for creating beautifully shaped, artisanal loaves. The size is ideal for larger breads, and the natural cloth liner included in the set further simplifies the proofing process. The results have been fantastic every time. What really makes this set stand out are the included tools. I’ve always made do with whatever I had lying around, so it’s a real treat to have a dedicated set for bread-making. The dough scraper, lame, bread fork, and cleaning brush are all of excellent quality. It even includes extra blades and a leather cover for the lame, which is a thoughtful addition. These accessories are often sold separately and can be quite expensive, so having them bundled in adds tremendous value to the set. Some reviews mention the dough sticking to the basket, but I haven’t had any issues. The key is preparation. Lightly misting the basket with water and then dusting it with flour creates a non-stick barrier that works perfectly. I’ve found that this method helps keep the flour in place, and when the dough is ready, it releases easily from the basket. Once the water has dried, you can easily brush off any leftover flour, making the cleanup process simple and quick. If you're working with high-hydration doughs, I’d definitely recommend using a muslin cloth to prevent any sticking. I paid £17.49 for the 25cm set, which is an absolute bargain for the quality and number of items you get. The set arrived quickly and was well-packaged, with no damage or defects. I’ve used it several times now, and each loaf has turned out perfectly. It’s clear that this set will last a long time, and I’m thrilled with my purchase. This is such a thoughtfully put together set, with everything you need to start sourdough-ing. Actually, I don’t enjoy sourdough, but my standard bread is lovely when made in this too. You’ll get a sturdy, well-made basket which is the right size for a loaf made with 500g flour, and then all the bits in the picture, which are very helpful. Do be aware that you’ll also need a muslin cloth or something finer to use to line the basket if you’re using a high-hydration dough (like 60% or more). The rest of the kit is as pictured and every part of it comes in handy. It’s a great kid, everything works perfectly, and it comes with some good instructions if you’re lost. I can’t see any reason not to buy it!

Don't dislike anything about basket will store bread in it .won't I think that's the idea or is it.

All looks OK apart from the cleaning brush which arrived snapped in half.

This banneton is well made with no rough edges or sticking out metal bits. Ideal size for my new hobby of making sourdough. Prepared as per instructions, no need to clean between use and the dough turns out perfectly from the banneton. Great to have the other included tools/accessories and a very good price.
