Sattel Selle SMP TRK Medium/Man Gel schwarz Herren 280x160mm 485g

I have always been a Brooks saddle user but thought that it was time to try something modern that was a little less expensive. This saddle has had great reviews and because of that I purchased two. I purchased the gel and the non-gel version in size large for two of my bikes and although the gel version is firmer I prefer it to the non-gel version but both are fine. Yes, they are slightly more comfortable that my original leather saddle so I am happy.

Very comfortable! I had the previous and cheaper foam filled version of this saddle and it is good but this is brilliant. One thing I would say is make sure Amazon sends you the right one as it should say "gel" on the saddle itself as the first one I was sent was the foam version like the one I had and I believe this happened to someone else though if that does happen it's a case of sending it back as I did and you should get the correct one. Having said that as a comparison between both versions the foam is definitely worth spending the extra money on for the extra comfort it provides. I've only done about 30 miles on mine so far but can definitely recommend it.

I was having prostrate issues so thought I'd invest in this which seemed really expensive but definitely worth it. It's a massive improvement, I get very little issues now. For me personally it's a little awkward as I'm quite skinny and the seat is quite small (medium). I'm new to cycling so think the seat size is counter intuitive; as I'm skinny I should have got a bigger seat and suspect the opposite is true.

Not all Selle saddles come in small sizes and because of the central channel, the saddle is slightly wider than normal. I bought a medium because they don't offer small for the SMP model but you can get small in others, such as the Hybrid and T2 ones, I believe. I find this slightly too wide on my racing bike so I will probably move it to my mountain bike and get a small sized one from one of the other ranges for my road bike. So it is worth going to the Selle site first where you can enter your pants/trouser size to select the correct saddle width for you.

Foam, not Gel. Selle Gel saddles have the word 'Gel' imprinted in the fabric.

A great comfortable saddle. It comes up a bit higher than my non-gel saddle so the seat post needs to be dropped down a bit so make sure you have space to drop your seat post down

Got this saddle to replace the standard peloton saddle. More comfortable and less pressure on essential areas meaning less numbness. It’s not perfect, but I can do 45 minutes before needing to stand and take some of the pressure off my sacral nerves.
