These are absolute beasts!
I needed something more reliable than my cheapo versions that keep losing their grip. These are big grippy grips that I envisage will still be gripping long after I have gone. These were able to hold kitchen units together (side by side) while marking out for alignment over the counters, with no problem whatsoever.

I love Irwin Quick-Grip clamps
These were a heavy-duty addition to my existing collection of Irwin clamps. I have several different sizes and they've all performed well. I've also discovered that Irwin online support respond very quickly to enquiries, even on Sundays.

Easy to apply pressure and just as easy to release
As I get older (now over 70) I find it difficult to tighten things up as strongly as i used to and need all the help I can get. This Irwin Quick-Grip really works for me. Very easy to bring the jaws together and apply lots of pressure and just as easy to release after use. Well made so should last a long time. I only purchased one just in case I did not like it but will buy another to make a pair.

Good, heavy duty tool
My husband found it to be brilliant . The clamp holds really well and there are attachments you can buy that make it very versatile.

Very nice!
Very nice clamp.PROS:- Clamps very tight, but I wasn't amazed at the clamping strength. Very good, not amazing.- Feels like it would last a while.- Very easy to work with.- BIG clamping surface when you have the two black pieces attached.CONS:- When you unclamp, it creates a big "smack", which shakes the table, and your project, a lot! A smooth unclamping motion would be SO much better.- What's with the big price increase for longer lengths? It's just a longer piece of metal at the center.- The set of two 12" clamps is £42. Someone at Irwin/Amazon isn't very good at math. :)Conclution: Very nice. Go for it.I think I will only buy the 12" ones, which are certainly worth the £15 (shipped) price, in my opinion. You can also get two smaller Irwin clamps for about £11, which might actually hold better than one big clamp for £15.

Versatile to the n th degree.
I work as a Carpentry/Joinery lecturer at a FE college and am also self-employed and undertake a lot of kitchen fitting work. These clamps are fast, reliable and robust. Highly recommend over cheaper (inferior) counterparts.

600Ib of pressure . . . for the big boys.
The 300Ib version is ideal for the average jobs so be careful when you ramp it up to double that. These bad boys can easily ruin your work but when you need that "bone crushing" extra they are just the job with no joint resisting their seduction.
