Hallelujah!
I think that whoever came up with this design deserves a pay rise. A large one. And an extra day off. This is the second slow feed bowl we have bought, the previous one only slowing our Rottweiler down from less than a minute hoovering in a normal bowl, to about 90 seconds. This gorgeous piece of kit? About 7 minutes. For us, a total win.We have tried other things to get him to slow his intake rate down, but this wins hands down. He hasn't tried denting all the kitchen cabinets with it, biting it or any other form of the thuggery he's attempted in the past. Its solid and large, with fairly deep ridges that allow his food to settle in the bottom making vacuuming life harder. He actually has to work to get his food out.Downsides? Have to be honest & say we have only just got, but can't see anything major. The ridges are wide enough to easily get fingers in to clean the bowl of any microscopic food he has left in it. Again, its solid, and he hasn't managed to take it for a walk around the kitchen while trying to get at his dinner. The only things I will say is that if you are getting it for a large dog, & feed them in a small space this may not be the bowl for you as he walked around it a lot chasing his dinner. Also, the ridges being fairly deep may not be suitable for a small dog.

Perfect for hungry labradors/hoovers.
Thought about getting this and the purple flower version for our two choc labs for ages. Wish I'd just got them sooner. Since we introduced the second lab our first labs feeding time went from pretty normal to under ten seconds. Lots of vomiting, burping etc. These dishes initially got feeding time to ten minutes! Now they've figured the dishes out a bit it's taking around 6-8 minutes and they seem to be stuck at that time. I swap the dishes occasionally just to keep them on their toes. The purple dish seems slightly easier for them both, the orange spirals are quite deep and while one lab has no problem with it, the other struggles to get the last few pieces out. Both seem to really enjoy using the dishes, lots of waggy tails, no hoovering food, trying to steal the others and then being sick. Definitely worth the money.

Don't let the price put you off - it works!
Bought (& works) at slowing down the gulping action of an 11 month old 16kg Eurasier. We feed her around 2 1/2 cups of food at a time and this comfortably fits in this (large sized) bowl. It would probably accept another 2 cups of food without being too full to defeat the object of having the vanes. The gaps are just slightly larger than a finger width, so large kibbles might get stuck but works really well for our average sized kibble. Certainly stopped the dog gulping food as she now has to work at getting it out of the gaps or pushing it around the spiral to the wider sections. She did get very frustrated the first few times and started to try to tip the bowl over but it is sufficiently wide but shallow and heavy to resist her paws so she gave up on that idea. We selected the spiral design because we thought that it might be easier for us to clean rather than those with very intricate designs.

Good way to slow your dog down
We are the guardians of a very greedy Labrador (which should not come as a surprise to you) and we thought it would be a good idea to slow her eating (read inhaling) habits a bit. Well, it surely worked, she takes much longer to finish her food since she has to get her tongue in the small gaps and lap it up.The item is very sturdy and is of very good quality. It doesn't slide over the floor . We put the bowl in the middle of the kitchen so she can walk around it (we are not too cruel). We have a tiled floor, but it stays in one place. We use it for her dry food, when she gets wet food (e.g. tripe or sardines) , I use her old bowl. This is mainly because I don't want to spent a long time to get all the bits out. The bowl can be put in the dishwasher, but I just rinse it out and it looks like new.So, I would say it is a good buy if you want to slow your dog down, it hasn't stopped our dog wanting more food (which we were hoping for), but she is occupied just a little longer.

Serves its purpose well, BUT...........
This is a well made product that does what is supposed to do, which is to slow down the time it takes your dog to eat their food. However, the one we purchased has only lasted 1 month! Our labrador puppy has managed to chew through it due to the enthusiasm of trying to get his food out. Other than this issue, the bowl has served it purpose well. We are going to try a different style bowl from the same brand to see if this happens again. I don't think that this is a design flaw as such, more to do with the strategy my dog used to get his food out. I would also suggest that you evenly distribute the food around the bowl rather than place it in the areas where it is harder to get to, like the centre, for example.

Great to keep dogs busy with their meal for longer
I do not regret buying these for our two huskies - it keeps them entertained and makes them eat slower instead of hoovering the food from the regular bowl. It's easy to clean for what it is but obviously it's a bit trickier than washing your regular bowl.It has rubberised bottom that prevents it from being pushed around the room whilst eating.Sturdy and good quality product and works with dry and wet food so would recommend.

A good buy, good quality and i'm sure the dogs ...
Does exactly what it is designed to do, I bought three of these in different designs and I swop them round my three dogs. Meal times take so so much longer and they actually chew now! I find it really entertaining to watch them working out how to get the food out. A good buy, good quality and i'm sure the dogs enjoy their food more now they actually taste it!

Uso correto
Funciona perfeitamente.

Perfect
Perfect, easily to wash in the dishwasher. Great for fast eaters but not to difficult for dogs that get discouraged easily. As you can see in the picture a little bigger then I expected (ps my dog looks uncomfortable cause she was very tired but i was able to bribe her into the picture with treats)

大きくて良い
これより小さいサイズをもっていましたが、あっとゆーまに食べてしまうので、大きなサイズにして、早食い防止になりました。大型犬にぴったりです。
