SUPERMARKET TROLLEY SHOPPING BAG, NEW HEAVY DUTY MADE IN THE UK

These are like the ones that one of the big supermarkets used to sell years ago but discontinued. I still have one of those, that I've had for at least 4 years, which is still in good nick, and continues to be preferred over all the other bags the supermarkets sell these days. Now I've got two of these strongly made bags, that I ordered through Amazon, and no longer need to walk around with gaudy pictures and advertising logos on my bags anymore. I think they are worth the dosh as they are a decent size for packing a reasonable amount of shopping more neatly, and for transporting it in the boot of my car tidily. Much better than those silly little bags that are designed not to last, or the hessian ( jute) ones that are ideal nesting sites for colonies of nasty bacteria. Maybe those bags only attract rustic looking bacteria though.Eamonn

Solid, strong quality. My only gripe is they don't want to stand up and open when you first begin filling them. They'll last for years though and are a lovely, rubberised canvas type material that is washable and bullet-proof. Recommended.

Solid, strong and does the job. The edges at the top collapse, which makes loading a pain, but you can't argue with the strength or capacity.

The new 5p/10p charge on supermarket carrier bags (depending on which shop you go to) has put a real strain on me as a student. However this large heavy duty bag has been a life saver, it carries about the equivalent of 5/6 normal carrier bags, strongly built. Does not cause the ache -unless completely overfilled- when carrying on the wrist or hand. And its very easy to fold away and tuck into your hand bag or in my case my rucksack for when I'm walking to and from the supermarket. Although a bit on the expensive side I can see that this should last me for a couple decades, or at least as long as the heavy duty sainsbury bags which have lasted me about 6/7 years thus far.

Was disappointed with the quality of the material and expected better due to the price charged

Chemical plastic smell!!!But have just started using them so time will tell if they are sturdy.

these are so handy for shopping they would be better if handles fitted over trolleys for shopping

At last a 'man' shopping bag, an excellent buy. Sturdy, good cubic capacity, easily cleanable. Why has it taken so long for designers to recognise that men shop too?Unfortunately we aren't good at multi skilling, so I have been unable to fold my two bags back up to their delivered, manageable size!!18 months of service, twice weekly supermarket shops and the two bags are still in good condition, but still have difficulty folding!
