Affordable full featured PTZ
I have installed and used several brands of IP Cameras, many costing much more than this. Overall impression is for the price you get a decent camera. Rated as 5MP with a 20x Zoom and Pan and Tilt, it compares to cameras costing much more. The procedure scanning with the QR code can be confusing, but worked after my 3rd attempt. After downloading and installing the Tuya application I started over by holding the reset for 7-8 seconds (I tried setting the ip via ethernet connection initially) Waited for the prompt and scanned the QR code. Now were in business. The PTZ function works well. The camera control via web browser gives you all the features you would need for set up. Wi-Fi range seems to be excellent, as I have found on most of these Wi-Fi cameras it’s only 2.4GHz. Picture is very clear both Night and Day time, the Human detection troubled me a bit, it pings your phone immediately but a time while I was monitoring it, the app said human detection but no one was there (Ghosts?) There is no user manual supplied as to the Browser settings most items are self-explanatory but there are several items I have yet to figure out, I reached out to the supplier and requested documentation, as of this writing I have not received it. I have not been able to connect this camera to my current NVR Digital Watchdog, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. I’ll update this review when I get the rest figured out.

Excellent image quality but horrible web-based application and even worse tech support
Nice image quality in both day and night modes. The IR image is clear and the white light provides nice color image. The Pan and Tilt movements is quite responsive. I was able to get to work with Blue Iris after playing around with it; it would have been nice if they published the RTSP code. My problem is with the web-based application. I can't get the video to show up on the screen. I've attached a screenshot of what you get when you get on the web application. I've tried all kinds of ways to install the ActiveX plugin but I get CRX_HEADER_INVALID. I've emailed for tech support to the email address on the box but it appears to invalid email as well. Does this seller really want to support this product? I would appreciate getting some help; like I said it is a nice camera but I'll return it if I can't get the web-application running.

It's a *very* good security camera.
It is. Really! SETUP: This camera is relatively easy to set up. The instructions are not the best, but if you read them a few times, you'll get set up without any major problems. I don't much care for voice prompts, (I'd prefer a beep or a ding) but I can see where it would make it easier for someone who is not familiar with these devices. Fortunately, unlike some other cameras, it does *not* voice prompt every time the camera resets once you get it set up. WI-FI: Like many wireless cameras, it only operates on 2.4 GHz, so if 5 GHz is a must for you, you may want to look for another camera. My cameras are on their own 2.4 GHz mesh network using a 5 GHz backhaul. If you're fully wired, you can also connect using ethernet and the included power supply or a POE adapter. Unlike the camera this one is replacing, it *always* stays connected to the network. A definite plus for me. UTILITY: It rotates a full 355 degrees, so if you need it to look at the wall it's mounted on, you can. Most of my PTZ cameras are mounted at 7 to 8 feet which, for me, seems to be a good height. Vertical movement is 90 degrees, so unless you're searching for UFOs, you're pretty much covered. I have to admit that I have tried - but don't use the alarm or tracking functions. We have lots of bugs flying around here and, for some reason, bugs and palm trees are often identified as human. 😀 It does properly track a person though. RECORDING: Since I am a Blue Iris user, I don't have a need to record to SD Card. I tried it out just so I can comment on it, and I can tell you that it works as they claim and as you would expect. VIEWING: I can zoom in (it has both optical and digital zoom) and view things over 100 feet away at night using the IR LEDs. It works much better than I would have expected. With the white LEDs lit, it pops into color mode and works like a charm. The picture quality in the IR mode is great - and in the daylight mode it is superb. No, let me correct that. Not superb...FANTASTIC! (see photos) APP: There are lots of settings in the app that are pretty much self-explanatory. I set it up with Smart Life, but I believe its designed for TUYA Smart (which I assume is quite similar.) I may give that a try just to see if there are different options. As I said, I use Blue Iris, so the app itself isn't that important to me. BUILD QUALITY: I have 6 other Eversecu cameras. All of them (including this one) seem to be built quite well, with quality materials. No clicks and rattles and movements are smooth. I would like to see another 6 inches or so of cable attached to it. MOUNTING: The mount seems very sturdy. There are three mounting holes in a triangle configuration. Anchors and what appear to be stainless steel screws are included, as are sealing covers for the power, Ethernet, and reset button. (I mounted in an existing hole to take pics, but will move it up and add a box to shield the connections from the elements.) IN CONCLUSION: If you're looking for an extremely good PTZ camera with optical zoom, I don't think you'd be dissatisfied with this camera from Eversecu. It performs like cameras that are twice the cost.
