Rings: Jewelry of Power, Love and Loyalty

This book was bought after a recommendation from from an antique jewellery dealer.I am very keen to learn more about Georgian, Victorian & Edwardian rings.I certainly wasn’t disappointed with this book. It has beautiful pictures to illustrate the points made in the descriptions.The author makes it very easy to learn from the book and thus, expand your knowledgeThis is definitely one book I’ll be going back to time & time again

A fairly interesting book going into some depth on the significance of rings through the ages in the western world, showing good colour photographs of rings, well balanced from various eras, anglo saxon, few egyptian, roman, dark ages, middle ages, right through to modern times by a few still famous names. Shows how the designs and fashon of rings has evolved over time as well as explaining the functional and personal significance of the ring to the person it was made for. An enjoyable book.

very handy

A very good book on the subject, maybe sometimes a little more description would be fine. And the Iconoclast period in Byzantium is 8th 9th century; not 13th 15th century.

I would prefer to have a lot less writing and more pictures but that is just my personal opinion.
