Outstanding digital keyboard
This is my second Kawai digital keyboard. I purchased the ES110 in 2022, but there were a couple of issues with it. I had actually wanted the ES120 at the time but they were not yet available. So I used the ES110 for a year before deciding to acquire its successor, the ES120. It was worth the wait! They keyboard action is noticeably superior, faster and smoother (in my opinion)! The keybed itself feels great. I like the finish on the keys, not too glossy and a subtle texture. The ES120 has many sound options/emulations, but I only use the first two piano emulations, taken from the two top end Kawai accoustic grands. I have not listened to the keyboard using headphones but I know the sound will be very very good. The sound from the onboard speakers is excellent. I'm only playing for myself at home so I never have the sound slider past 60%.I like the visual appearance of the keyboard... very clean. I don't want or need a thousand controls and an LCD screen. But this keyboard has dozens of features and most controls are directly available physically on the top of the keyboard.I have the ES120 mounted on the Liquid Stands Z style heavy duty model. The keyboard barely moves at all while I play. (The grippy pads on the stand help keep the keyboard in place.)I don't use the included music stand. I purchased a separate music stand that I position directly behind the keyboard (the GLEAM sheet music stand). The included sustaining pedal is a very inexpensive unit and I don't recommend it. I still use the excellent Kawai F-10H sustaining pedal that came with the ES110. You can get good quality sustain pedals for $20 to $30.Apart from the keyboard's wonderful action, the best and most important aspect of this keyboard is its truly wonderful SOUND! It is so musical. And - of course! - it never needs tuning! I confess I have not been able to listen to other brands of digital keyboard, but I can hardly imagine any sound superior to this $1000 model. I highly highly recommend, whether you are a beginner or an advanced player. I play classical almost entirely but I think it will be very suited to jazz and pop music. Kudos to Kawai!

Great action and sound
playing this with decent headphones and I cant tell it from a real piano, the action is moderately heavy

Exceptional Service
No fault of theirs, the piano just lacked consistent tone, keyboard response and the versatility to support a live performance.I carefully repackaged the keyboard as if I was the next person to purchase it as my return was promptly approved. I was refunded in a timely manner.

Good Action, not great sound
I expected better sound. If you listen to it in isolation speakers are terrible, so would have to buy external speakers eventually if you can notice and care about sound. It sounds like its muffled, and this has been captured by some reviews online that note speakers are not great.Action seems fine, I have a Kawai es920 in cabinet that sounds amazing and action is great. But I ended up sticking with a semi-weighted piano due to it being half the weight of this es120.I've already tried out friends roland FP10,30 pianos with heavy keys and yamahas. Roland's I think are terrible, I might have to side with Yamaha on entry weighted pianos, and Kawai for more expensive digital piano and acoustic.Korg liano for bottom end, which is what I'm sticking with. Sounds even better than es120, but note its weighted keys

Kawai ES120: Exquisite Keyboard
The regal sound of the EX Concert Grand, ringing out from my new Kawai ES120 keyboard, is simply magnificent. The weighted keys allow for soft, delicate sounds as well as strong, emotive sounds. Very well done Kawai.
