Essential companion to "Leadership Matters"
An essential companion to to "Leadership Matters" by Andy Buck (which in my view needs to go on the reading list for all schools - great to develop leadership awareness and support the growth of truly effective teams).Back to the journal which I am reviewing....The problem with lots of these inspiring leadership books is that they get you all excited about wanting to change the world, but as soon as you finish the book you find yourself back on the train (which only seems to have one speed - too fast!), barely able to hold on.The journal is systematic in its reflection, goal-setting, planning for your success and reviewing your success.For people who complain about not having enough time, stop. You do have enough time. Reflect. Set your goals. Plan for your success. Review your success (or in my case the things that didn't go so well!).Finally, Andy Buck writes in a language that "proper" school leaders understand. He keeps it simple, uses his own experiences (which are open, honest and relatable) and genuinely challenges you to stop and think.NB publisher typo on p100 (missing L on second line)

The book is great. This accompanying journal is not essential. Just asks repetitive reflection questions on most chapters.
