Questionable durability, but perfect for summer camp
This is a replacement for an older version of the same trunk. The previous one only lasted for 3 sessions of sleepaway camp before one of the latches fell off. I’m really hoping this one lasts the rest of my kid’s camp years. Durability aside, it’s the perfect size for summer camp. The wheels make it easy to move. My kid loves the color. Again, not sure if the durability issues were because of my kid or because of the trunk, as the one we bought at the same time for my other kid is packed and ready to head off for another session of camp.

Love the aesthetic
I've never owned those vintage steam trunks so I can't compare in terms of sturdiness and quality but I still love the classic look. It's lightweight so I can't imagine it taking too much abuse like airline travel. I just use it as decorative storage but I like it having wheels to relocate it. I don't know if it's normal but I DON'T like the wheels being exposed on the inside of the trunk, things could get tangled!
