I recently got a small dog, and even though he's small, I was worried that he could hurt himself when he ran to the end of his long outdoor leash. He runs as fast as he can and gets jolted back. I added this to the stake in the ground and while he still runs to the end he bounces more and it just looks so much less jolting. I couldn't find a good way to attach it, I struggled but made it work. Nothing against the product of course as this wasn't made for how I am using it.

I’m using these to keep my awning from bouncing in the wind and pulling the arm anchors out of the wall. They are lightweight, which is what I needed, but have enough tension in them to allow movement without letting the awning fly away.
