It’s a wooden spoon. A spoon made of wood. I bought it as it was less than paying for shipping. It stirs food well, as long as you have the ability to stir, otherwise it won’t be much use. Too big to use for cereal or making a cup of tea but hopefully you have regular spoons for that already.

As my tried and trusty kitchen spoon is showing its age I elected to use the replacement I bought some time ago. At first use it became immediately apparent why it has languished unused in the 'pointless and useless drawer'for the better part of four years. Unless you happen to be about nine feet tall the handle is far too long for domestic use. Moreover, at approximately 13mm diameter it has too large a cross section to be used comfortably. The shallowness of the bowl is belied by the actual thickness of the head which negates any chance of deft wrist action when stirring even should there be room in the saucepan for ingredients given the size of this behemoth. Stirring with this ungainly implement is on a par with trying to turn the soil in a window box with a number nine coal shovel. Also, as previously mentioned by another reviewer, the appallingly poor finish of the actual implement means that it is destined to spend its time languishing in the back of the drawer unloved, unused and unwanted.

Bought this as an add on item simply to qualify for the free delivery but seriously this spoon has changed my life.It is so practical and useful, sometimes I just heat up milk in order to have an excuse to use my spoon and stir the milk in the pan.I have had many wooden spoons before but none have compared to this one. It is so trustworthy and reliable as a spoon, it has become an integral part of my kitchen.Really not sure what I would do if anything were to happen to this spoon.

I purchases two of these as we was running low on wooden spoons. They are bigger than we thought and have strong build quality. Good product at a reasonable price.

Imposible to use as a spoon for stirring actual food as it arrived completely rough and splintered. The wood is of the absolute cheapest quality and they haven’t bothered to polish it not even the bare minimum for food safety. I don’t understand the good reviews; I fell for them but you don’t have to. If you live in the UK near a Tiger go find decent wooden spoons there for the same price; that’s where I ended up getting mine.

For a cheap and cheerful wooden spoon, this is perfectly adequate. The length is sufficient to stir all of my pans - even a small stock pot - right down to the bottom, preventing my cooking from sticking. The wood is nice and not splintery. The light-coloured word will inevitably acquire some colour from foods being mixed/stirred.I bought three of these as add-on items. After 3 weeks, one has bowed badly (no idea why - it's not been treated any differently than the others) and two are fine.

I am more than surprised that Amazon allows such crap to be sold, I had to sand them down and as soon as you wash them the roughness returns. If you buy these I can guarantee you will be disappointed, leave them on the shelf.

waste of time and money. I have waited a couple of days to arrive which is normal, but they aren't the quality as they've been advertised. they really need a heavy polishing.
