Do you have to use milk or can I put cold water then microwave?

I don't see why you can't use water, it would just be a bit thinner and not as nice. If you are allergic to milk you could use almond or rice milk. If you use water then just make it the same was. Put oats in bowl pour over liquid and microwave for 2 minutes. You can also make it in a saucepan, boil the liquid and then add the oats. It's really nice.

Is it too sweet ? Wanted to make oats porridge for my baby thinking it was plain oats but was worried when i saw it had a sweet look to it ?.

The answer is in the product title it is golden syrup suggesting that there is some sort of underlying sweetness additive. I suggest a look around a food sore could find it on shelves wit a description of what is in it

What have been the average sell by date on these boxes? Mine arrived with less than three months, which seems very short for individually sealed oats

Yes mine are dated 22-09 2018 and the last ones I purchased from Tesco were dated 08-12-18 obviously that’s why they are selling at the reduced price ,buyer be ware

Why did you choose this product over others?:Quaker Oats (golden syrup) has been a favourite for me for many years but I hadn't bought for some time. I'm very happy that the flavour is just as consistent as it always was. Sachets are easy to open and really good to store. Just tear, add milk, tip into dish, microwave, stir. Simple. A really tasty and wholesome buy that is great for breakfast or just as a general snack. Portion wise I would say that 1 sachet is ideal, but some people might opt for two. Overall excellent value for money, excellent delivery. Great stuff
