Well developed characters and dramatic plot that kept me rivited all the way through. Highly recommend this book to all who enjoys this type of plot.

This book was good and a quick read.

A chance meeting in Paris brings two lonely people together, neither revealing their backgrounds in exclusive clubs. Three months later a pregnant Cassandra is in London and another chance encounter brings Oliver back in her life. Discovering their true identities is another challenge to any relationship between them. It's all about trust and love.

Claire and Oliver have a wonderful day and night inParis. Oliver returns to London to run his private club and Claire goes back to her job pretending to be a courtesan. Oliver is the illegitimate son of a duke and his Indian mistress. Claire has survived an abusive marriage and has been abandoned by her family. Both of them need to work through their hurtful past and fears. There were a few coincidences in the storyline that rang false. This is the third book in a series. Not having read the first two books, I found the two other couples unbelievable (a duchess who was a maid?).

The plot caught my interest from the first page to the end. I read it one day. The characters felt true to the times reflecting the Regency attitudes to the characters backgrounds and current situations in their lives. The hero was a hero, the heroine's response to her current situation was understandable, and the villain was evil. Minor characters had personalities and were not cardboard personalities.
