GRITTY. LEAVE THEM FOR THE ANIMALS
Followed all instructions for shaking dry in a container, soaking, rinsing under running cold water. Guests dont like gritty food.France's wildlife needs them more than I do.Leave them in the forest.

Maybe too old?
They don’t rehydrate. Tried with Luke warm water, tried cooking. Tried different times.Looked up tips on YouTube . I think they were just too old. Could not eat them…
