A quality product, worth the money
Having been a fan of Siku toys when I was a child, and having kept most of those old 90's toys my own children are enjoying them now. This has sparked a constant nagging for me to buy more. For my 6year olds recent birthday I bought the Liebherr crane among other Siku products. This is an outstanding toy. He absolutely loves it! Perhaps one of its biggest appeals is, that unlike a lot of toy vehicles it is a scale replica of a real vehicle. We see these cranes all the time 'in real life' and you just can't buy decent toy cranes from most toy stores. They're usually generic and cheap with plastic bits that easily break off. You ask does my 6year old really care about this, but you'd be surprised. They aren't too keen on the hotwheels / matchbox range as they seem fantastical and usually very American orientated. Both my children appreciate this toy, they kinda get the whole concept of quality now. They treat these toys as play things as they should be, but they don't tend to bash the living daylights out of them, as they see its a bit of a special toy. This particular toy is really nice. The price seems a bit much but its worth it. It's already endured endless play and its durable, Its very weighty, the wheels are very sturdy. The little support legs are easy to pull out even for little ones. The crane boom arm is metal with a plastic extension inside which is decent quality and takes all the punishment of lifting various items my kids attempt. The only downside to me is the rope barrel, its easy to wind it in 80% of the time, but the way the knot is tied to the barrel, means it often gets jammed. Much to the annoyance of my kids. This is a minor problem for an otherwise great product from Siku, don't let it put you off, just be prepared to rewind it from time to time when the kids are struggling. I'd recommend this for anyone with kids who are going to look after them, saying that, it would probably take plenty of intense play punishment. Also its realistic enough that it would fit into a model railway.

Well built
Had this crane a couple years and its been through a LOT! lasted really well, no issues. Well built and still looks pretty new considering how much it's been played with.

It is a lot smaller than I thought.
It is a lot smaller than I thought. It is made from metal, so is a lot tougher and sturdier than plastic. But not sure it's value for money at full price, buy managed to get it during black friday sale.

Smaller than expected
Smaller than expected as I thought it was the same as one I had bought for my son years ago. I should have checked dimensions more carefully

Sturdy crane but a bit small
This siku 1886 is quite a sturdy mobile crane. It is being used by a 3 year old and a 7 year old. It's quite small so it can pick up small cars but it cannot pick up larger and heavier things. It is not a 100percent metal crane.. but I suppose quite a lot of parts are metallic thus it's quite heavy as well. The stabalisers do help the crane to keep steady. I think this crane will last a long time as compared to the 100%plastic cranes.

Quality!
One very happy son and one quiteish Sunday afternoon! Crane arrived in the pictured SIKU yellow. Seems relatively robust and well made as with most SIKU toys combined with excellent atttention to detail! Would suit a slightly older child 6+ due to small features and hand powered parts. Perhaps the only slight issues the top of the boom is plastic and the hand crank could do with a lock out, perhaps just being picky: Highly recommended at purchase price £13:50.

Made a little boy very happy!
This item arrived in good time. Bought for a 5 year old's birthday. He plays with it for hours and absolutely loves it. He takes it outside, on grass, on paving stones and tarmac and it copes well. A successful purchase!!

Solidly built so on the heavier side. It's functional, crane arm can move sideways, up n down. Overall satisfied with quality.

I was skeptical at first because of the price relative to its small size, but this has stood up to some pretty rough handling by my toddler. The boom started coming loose from the truck, but I was able to tighten it back up because it's assembled with machine screws, and not glued together like many junk toys. We've had a lot of fun with this truck already, and it continues to sustain my son's interest. Good quality toy - I'm glad we bought it.

The Siku 1886, Liebherr Mobile Faucet is an absolute delight for any young construction enthusiast. This vibrant yellow faucet, made from a mix of sturdy metal and plastic, is packed with engaging features. It has moving parts like pull-out supports, a working cable winch, and a fully rotatable cover lift. The tap arm can be lifted, lowered, and telescoped, making playtime incredibly realistic and fun. Designed for kids aged three and above, this toy is not only entertaining but also safe and stable. The rubber tires and four metal supports ensure it rolls smoothly and stands firmly.
