cuts thorough high quality starless steal 3mm sheet like butter with cutting oil. had been struggling with some cheaper and more expensive drill bits and this did the job nicely.

I've used cheap step drills for years, but they never last. I bought this to drill some 30mm holes in 4mm galvanised steel plate. With a slow drill, plenty cutting fluid and a pilot hole, it made short work of 8 holes. When I'd finished it was pretty much as sharp as when I started. Since then I've used it for other holes in stainless steel, it's still sharp and drills easily. The 3 flats on the shaft ensure it locks securely in the chuck. Highly recommended. I was unsure if it was worth the extra over the cheap ones, but it certainly was 👍

Used item to cut thru an “H” beam. Thought it would be a nightmare job but turned out to be relatively straightforward.
