Ordered for daughter in law on the birth of her first baby thinking it would have an odd couple of quotes that would be good in it and was gobsmacked to read every quote was either true, giving of confidence or really helpful….. just loved it …

I bought this as a gift. This is lovely for a new mum! I was recommended this by my cousin. I asked for any recommendations she had for books she used in when she was expecting her first and this was the first one she said. I read some of it before giving it to my friend and it really is lovely - not too much technical jargon! My friend was really pleased and was also in agreement that she did not want to read pages and pages of content about pregnancy because it can be a bit too much to take in. This was perfect for handy little tips and she has enjoyed reading it so far!

Bought for my daughter-in-law who is expecting her first baby and was given as an extra present at the baby shower. Baby has now arrived and she is finding this a brilliant little read when she has a moment to spare.

I have this book and loved it so much I did not want to pass it on to my daughter in law who is having her first child, so i bought her a copy its full of lovely ideas and tips, it will be useful for us both when baby arrives, even though i have 3 grown up children, I love it

Got it for a friend and read it out of curiosity. Can’t say I’m impressed. For a new mum, it may be helpful. For someone who’s had 2 kids, there’s nothing new here. It’s the kind of stuff you pick up as you go. Some of the advice is outdated (ex. saying you should rent rather than buy a breast pump, because they’re expensive - no longer the case).There are several sections: birth, feeding, weaning, changing, clothing, sleeping, playing, learning, travel, you, twins. Is the advice worth the money? Not really. But the book is a nice keepsake.
