This is a very attractive, reasonably well-made puzzle box. The size is very generous, and the craftsmanship and quality of wood is good (I'm a woodworker). There is slop in the pieces and sliding, but not too bad (and probably necessary given the liveliness of wood). When you start out, it seems like a simple sliding tile game, and you can go on and on sliding tiles without solving the puzzle. To solve it without using the included solution, you really have to think "if I were making a box with hidden latches, where would I put the latches to best secure the lid?"I will say no more 🤐A very nice piece, and something you can hand to any guest. Nicely finished, and works well... very fun, and worth the cost. I find myself solving it again and again.

The box itself is made well. The sliding pieces are a little loose so sliding them is a little tricky. But if you take your time and not force works really well.

As the owner of a number of puzzle boxes, I was skeptical about buying this box because of the negative comments about the pieces being "sticky." This problem was actually related to the occasional misalignment of the tongue-and-groove pieces. The pieces needed a small amount of vertical adjustment, which the puzzle was not designed to do. I solved this problem with a pair of tweezers. Gentle vertical realignment worked fine.The box was good for critical thinking. While there is only one way to move most pieces, there are still a number of pieces yielding two or three solutions of moving forward. Logically, only one of these solutions continues after a move or more. Thinking critically quickly yielded the solution.
