A timeless CLASSIC! As a Graphic design student in the 1980's one of my most important tools of the trade was a Swan Morton Scalpel. As those days you literally had to cut n paste pieces of graphics together to make final artwork! Today, cut n paste is a keystroke used on all software to do what the Swan Morton did best! The Number 4 handle is as ORIGINAL as the Swiss Army knife, a must have. But, times change and with new innovation new things happen. So also check out the amazingly great SWANN MORTON PREMIUM RETRACTAWAY - 2806 I did as I brought BOTH! and you know what the retractable s a 6-STAR product, goes one better than the No 4 handle. Only wished I had one of these years ago. Best thing I have bought off Amazon in a LONG time! Thanks for the memories No: 4 handle, long-live the new Retractable Handle - its amazing.

worth the money
a nice blade handle that come quick ideal for my arty stuff UPDATE: what a silly person I am ! I thought that the blades fit every handle but I was wrong I bought no.10 blades and a no.4 handle and now as I am about to use it I cant so people out there just make sure you have the right scalpel handle for the right blade and then you do not have to wait a couple of days for a different one

Quality handle
I ordered the wrong size blades for my Swann Morton handle, so ordered this larger handle , so as not to waste my new blades. The larger scalpel kit is actually much better for my elderly hands, so the initial mistake has turned into a success.

Well made, sturdy & Sheffield steel.
Had a No. 5 for years which was good then decided to try something bigger(No. 4)& am well pleased. British quality product with countless uses. Very reasonable money into the bargain
