Perfect
I really like this clock. I didn't want too many pointless features like a moon phase or barometer and this strikes the perfect balance with just a thermometer plus the ever handy radio time which allows you to forget about it and let the clock take care of itself. It is nice and easy to adjust the alarm time without having to cycle through menus and I like the button on the side which gives you the option of Off, On and a Snooze enabled mode. I was worried that I would physically have to turn the alarm off each morning (and remember to turn it on at bed time) as I thought hitting the top button would merely activate snooze which would result in the alarm going off again 5 minutes later. Instead I can use the middle option where the alarm will only sound once and I only have to move it to the off position at the weekend. The clock lights up well when you hit the top button, my complaints would be that the top light/snooze button could be bigger (perhaps it could be raised and given a rubbery feel) and the viewing angle on the screen isn't too great which forces me to tilt the clock towards me - I can see it falling on the floor one day when I try to grab it half asleep. Those complaints aren't enough for me to mark it down though as it feels solidly built for the price.

A practical and easy to use travel or home alarm clock
I bought this as a replacement for my older Casio wave ceptor clock radio which finally stopped working after about 10 years. This looks to be just as good. It is silent when in use and although has a bright light when you need it (press the top) it is nice and dark for next to the bed.It has time, day anddate as you would expect. The alarm is loud but nottoo annoying and there is asnooze button for if you want an extra few minutes. It syncs to the auto time clock when you want it to and so far has kept excellent timeIt is very light and ideal from travel use.

Probably the best bedside alarm clock/thermometer the cosy side of £30
Probably the best bedside alarm clock this side of £30Like waveceptor watches this gets a signal from the atomic clock time frequencies which are used by aviation and military. It can be adjusted so it doesn't add or subtract an extra hour when DST is set and it is somehow picking up the DE signal better than the UK one. When calibrating , keep it away from any cfl lights or light dimmer circuits (that are on)*ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH IT ADDING AN HOUR AFTER IT GETS A FULL 4 BAR SIGNAL*Hit set once (small central button @back at very bottom - may require a pen) the first bottom left hand area/section of the front LCD display blinks, basically press arrow up or down on the front to subtract or add 1 or as many hours as you like. (this sounds more difficult than it is)Make sure you then press the same set button (and don't adjust anything else unless you need DST on or off) slowly several times till you hear a confimation beep and see that the display is showing all normal indications (seconds are advancing) - you are now out of setting mode it should have the correct time and keep the correct time. You should not have to adjust it again- unless batteries go dead and it's still not picking up the UK atomic time signal well. 2x aaa's are included, but if you put 2x aaa lithiums in this it will go on for more than 1 year without adjustment. As this clock tries to recieve and calibrate the exact time via radio waves several times a day, try to keep it away from any flourescent bedside lamps (cfl types) as often these lamps interfere with radio reception. We have two of these clocks, one is 5 years old and is on it's second set of aaa's, the second we just purchased recently ; as often some of the most loved products eventually get rebranded and prices can shoot up I wasn't going to wait for our last to fail and find we could not replace it.Review voluntary, above items paid for in full

Best alarm clock I've ever had....
Both my Son and I have been using these for several years and they have never let us down. Ignore the bad review re the one hour daylight saving time glitch, you can set the clock to ignore this and stick to the correct GMT WaveCeptor time. It very easy to set and has an easily accessible snooze button that lasts for half an hour at five minute intervals. This button also lets you illuminate the time in the dark. The clock also gives you the date and the temperature of the room. The batteries last a long time as well. This really is the best alarm clock I've ever had.

and not managed to solve the problem which makes the clock next to useless in a UK environment for which it was purchased
It switches to German time so its always an hour out.... and not managed to solve the problem which makes the clock next to useless in a UK environment for which it was purchased.

Seems to update from Germany rather than nearer Rugby

Works like a charm
This alarm clock is extremely accurate, had for several weeks now and has never missed a second. I live in Glasgow and the clock always picks up the calibration signal. It also displays the temperature, the time the alarm is set, it has a night light and the date. The alarm is loud enough to wake me up without being annoying. This is an excellent radio controlled alarm clock would recommend it without any reservations.

Fantastic
This is a great clock. Not easy to set up initially but once it's done it just manages itself. Great not having to change it when the clocks go forward or back or if you go to a new time zone. Really stylish with a loud enough alarm which is easy to switch off. The light is perfect for viewing in the dark as well.
