Bodymould Mattresses Southern Foam Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Cover, 3 Inch, UK King Size

About 9 years ago I bought an orthopaedic mattress from dreams and it was ok.Bought a topper over the years and when it hit 8 years old replaced it with a mattress from IKEA (as my friends one was so comfortable)I was already experiencing pains in my hip and shoulder and sometimes would wake up numb in those areas and even pins and needlesNovember 2017, tore the lower lumbar muscle in my back and since always struggled to get out of bed constantly in pain.After a visit to my parents they’d bought a 6” memory foam topper and I had the best night sleep in years so I decided I really needed to do something with mine - I finally felt it was definitely the bed that was causing my discomfortI spent hours searching and reading reviews, and finally came across this, and with such a high rating I thought this is the one.The mattress arrived vacuumed packed so I unwrapped and stripped the bed leaving it on top for the duration of the day (maybe 10-12 hours) allowing it to breatheMade the bed that evening and yes as per the reviews there is a strong chemical smell but thought I’ll just leave he quilt off each morning allowing it to breathe each day until it has gone - this took about a week.To my delight and two weeks in I’m sleeping the best I have in years.I wake up with no pains sores or anything other than well rested and fully charged for the day ahead.Absolutely try this mattressI’ve already recommended it to my family and we’ve bought another one.The price of £80 for king size with cover was fantastic (my parents paid £140 ok for a 6” not 3”) but 6” isn’t required.My only reservation at this point is maybe the need to turn the topper around regularly - luckily I sleep alone so if I flip it over it’ll be like it’s brand new again as that side has yet to be slept on!! :)

I was on the point of lifting the downstairs carpets to check for damp when I realised that the musty smell was coming from upstairs and from the Topper which we had unpacked and laid out to expand. A few weeks later it still smells musty. But when the weather improves we will air it. Having said all that it is very comfortable.

Brilliant product and service!. We received our order 4 days before we expected it. Took about 2 hours for the memory foam topper to puff up to it's full size and shape. Yes it did have a smell , as normal for the product and explained in the accompanying leaflet. The slight smell had disappeared within a couple of days. But the main thing about this mattress topper was the comfort and improvement to both my husbands and my sleep. We both suffer from lower back pain and arthritis, from the first night we both noticed the difference,no more tossing and turning to get comfortable, just a much better night's sleep. I guess it's very much a personal thing, depending on your physical issues and expectations, for us it's really made a difference and definitely good value for money. Two other points mentioned & questioned by other reviewers : 1) yes it is proper memory foam and 2) the cover is of good quality (thin)towelling type material and fit with a zip along one side.

Bought this to revive our 15 year old mattress! It is amazing, I agree with other reviews that it has a smell but it only lasted a few days. I have a bad back and this topper has given me a good night's sleep and no pain in the morning. The price is good . So I would highly recommend this product. The delivery was quick . Don't be alarmed at the size of box , it is folded for shipping, when opened it takes a day to come back to full size. I purchased the cover. for this and its well worth the money.

The mattress topper is great, very comfortable, but I also bought the cover, which I don’t recommend. It is very slippery and every night the sheet comes off (in spite of my sewing elastic across the corners) and every morning the topper has slid at least 15cm down the bed.Buy the memory foam, but don’t waste your money on the cover!

People were very helpful and kindly answered my questions. Thank you. The mattress we had was over 10 years old and I was aching all over each night. I have been experiencing a lot of hip and back pain and bought this before I had an operation on my hip because basically we weren't in a position to buy a brand new mattress and have never tried memory foam. I have been so pleased with the results give the awful old mattress underneath I've been amazed it has worked so well. The comfort initially was amazing and I'm not achy at all like I was in the morning We have had this for a month or so now. I well aware it may need to be replaced sooner than a whole new mattress but it has suited our needs at the time and has made a very comfortable difference in our situation for a very reasonable price. There was a bit of plastic smell but it went away quickly and to be honest was well worth the compromise for the added comfort at night !

Read all the reviews and thought this was the best for size, price and depth on Amazon. However, delivery was nearly 4 weeks which wasn't mentioned in the ad and I was a little miffed when it said it was finally arriving but then it didn't..... it did however arrived a couple of days later after a call to Amazon! I was a little worried about the 'chemical smell' that lots of the reviews mentioned but when i opened the package and allowed it to open fully, there was no smell that i could detect, just a new package smell that was barely noticeable.When i got it out and laid in on the bed so it could fully expand i was worried because the topper shape was all over the place with dips and the like but after a few hours it was all good and fits perfectly.So far i would definitely recommend this product and would have given it 5 stars but for the delivery issue. Would definitely buy again.
