Fantastic product. It allowed me to install an IKEA kitchen tap bought abroad.Taps and mixers come with flexible connections to water pipes and their end are female, but size of the ending apparently varies with countries. It is 3/8" for continental taps and 1/2" for UK. I therefore needed an adapter with one end male 3/8" (to match the tap female 3/8") and on the other end female 1/2" to be able to connect to the 1/2" UK male sink water pipe. I couldn't find it anywhere.These adapters are sold as a pair (as you need to connect to both cold and hot water pipes) and include the right size of washers so you need not to buy anything else. Just place the washer inside the "big" part of the adapter and screw it between the tap and the water pipes. In the product pic the small male ending corresponds to size 3/8" and the big female side is size 1/2". You connect the small 3/8" side to the tap (which female ending should come with its own washer), place the washer that comes with the product in the 1/2" ending and screw it to the water pipe.They work very well with no leaks at all.

Used this to connect a Grohe tap to my existing 1/2" connectors.Solidly built and comes with the washers, which some alternatives don't.

Quality product does exactly what it's supposed to and worked first time for me. With no leaks! (And didn’t use sealing tape). Comes with washers too but note curiously both washers are placed in one adaptor so you need to pick out and place in the other adaptor before use. A slight premium but I’m a believer of the old adage that you get what you pay for. Can recommend.

Nice quality can't get them to seal properly on my existing connectors as he threads bottom out before the washer compresses. Will just need to stick an extra washer in there and should be fine

Worked perfectly and they seem to form an excellent seal when screwed onto the male thread fittings of the isolation valve, didn't even need a spanner as hand tightening was enough to prevent any leaks. Saved me from throwing my new Grohe tap away.

After lots of searching online and hours of browsing through catalogues and shelves at local diy stores, I came across this gem of a connection. These are exactly what I needed to connect the flexi hose ends of my newly purchased Grohe kitchen tap to a 1/2" standard male end of isolating valves.There are few other similar items for sale online that come in raw brass finish and without rubber seal. This one may be slightly more expensive than those, but it is a perfect solution for this purpose.

I ordered a set of two adaptors (with washers). I received one adaptor and no washer, so totally unusable.

Had to buy these to attach to a Grohe tap bought from amazon at a great price but this was because it was european no uk fixings so these adaptors were vital and worked perfectly.
